See top right of your screen, there's a section titled "private messages"
Just under where it says "welcome damage" - enjoy

Not that I wish any "damage" to anyone haha.

I wouldn't think so. Those milk tanker trailers are highly polished stainless steel and they are rolling on down the road.

HotRods are under a different scheme than the ICV.
Different rules apply

in NSW Spectral Gloss was an issue....windscreen frame, mirrors and gauge bezels had to be black...Im not sure about that one now.

exactly wot i am saying ,just dont understand why,...theres the roll bar for one sided arguement to go with it ,how does not having one on a hot rod make it safe, still a hand built fibreglass(most cases)shell on a steel fabricated chassis, both types of car weigh buggerall ,just makes u wonder why there are differant rules for very similar constructions ,maybe something in there coffee at meetings .anyway the shiny look is great,..i assumed that it was alloy but stainless was mentioned?...doc

Hot rods have exemptions because they are on conditional rego and have limited allowance for use on the road - only for club events and within a certain radius of your home. Cobras are on full rego so have to behave like any other car.

Lets look at this another way: the Rodders got organised in the 70's to protect their hobby from the govt changes. Us ICV builders can't even get over the fact that although our cars look different (I drive a 7, not a cobra) they really are the same thing in the eyes of the law. We all need to get together and work things out to protect our hobby - something I spend a lot of time discussing with the RMS / RTA so that I can enjoy the simple things in life, such as live side pipes on my V8 ICV.

Check out the ozclubbies forum and you'll see that there is a lot of effort put into getting items such as live side pipes, 4 point harnesses etc legal and registerable. The works of NSW are now flowing into Vic, with some engineers down there also happy to see the same. No exemptions - they're fully legal.

The ADR covering that was shelved years ago, it was ADR 12 - Glare in the field of view. So technically no issues now. This is why in the past you were not able to have any shiny services in Cobra's, no chrome windscreen frame etc. This is also why in recent times we have seen chrome bezels and chrome accents etc common in production cars.

They might need to introduce a new ADR, Glare in everyone else's field of view when you see a polished car driving down the road.
