Default Wanted, Commodore VT or later sedan, V6 auto must have tow bar

Hey all, I have just started trolling ebay and gumtree, looks like it wont be hard to find one, but thought I would ask here too.

I have recently purchased a RT40 Corona and another mate has purchased a car trailer all in Brisbane.
So I am now looking to buy a car to drive and tow it all back with.

I also have another car out bush to buy, and the payment is a Commodore sedan, with mags (if possable) sporty exhaust (if possable) CD player (I can fit when home), I will of course need it to have a tow bar for the trailer.

So just putting the word out to any folk out that way, if you know of a suitable vehicle, please put me in touch.
Depending on spec (how close it is to the wish list) will set the price, also bearing in mind I want to jump in it and tow a car trailer with a small car on it 3000kls (so good tyres would be great)

Price I would like to keep under $2000.

Dave, you're more of a wheeler and dealer than I realised! Using a sub-$2K car to tow another to NT sounds like a fun adventure too...

All has worked out, a mate of a mate is a wholesaler in Brisbane, he has a few low KL VX sedans at and under $2k.

Craig, gotta have a sense of adventure or we all may as well be sitting on the couch watching Summer Bay.

Way to go Dave. It'll be an adventure.

I just bought another Land Rover Discovery 2a. I miss my old one and found a good one for the right price. It's up in Bundaberg and I'm flying up in a few weeks to drive it back down. Should be a fun road trip.

Cheers

Dave and Mike, it would be great if we could arrange a dinner and a few beers when you're in town. I know you'll be here weeks apart, but I like food and beer..!

Let me know if you have some spare time.

Hey Craig, If I was real adventurous, I would drive it home.

Hey!

I used to have one of those. It was my first real 'paddock basher'.

A drifting 'incident' saw it a little dented in the rear passenger quarter panel..... The gum tree is still standing no doubt.

And what do you plan to do with this Corona Dave. You haven't got enough projects on the go?

I hear ya David.
The hope (I do say hope) is that this will be a fairly easy one and be done pretty quick.
I am actually downsizing at the moment with a few cars and parts being moved around and sold off.

Thanks for the offer Mick, very kind.

Mum and Dad live in Hervey bay so they went up the other day and drove it back to their place. I'll drop in and visit them for a few days and then have a bit of a road trip back.

I'm up for a catch up on the way through Craig. It's been a while.

Cheers

Michael

A quick clean up, sort out the running gear and fit a 13B Turbo motor?

I'm sure an LS would fit in there with a bit of work...

Gotta love the patina!

Mike, sounds good mate. Let me know closer to the date and I'm sure we can arrange something. It would be great if you could tie it in with the monthly Cobra breakfast.
