Default GT40 Upgrade

I am looking to do some upgrading of the GT40 as the car is now 12 years old and getting a bit rough in places. Long term I will do a motor upgrade, respray and interior change but for the moment I will start with some smaller items.
Firstly, the side mirrors on the car (see attached photo) are cheap and easily moved if bumped. I was thinking of replacing them with bullet mirrors but does anyone have a better suggestion? I would like the high mount electric style I see on some cars by they are a fairly expensive and i'm a little worried the bullet mirrors will not sit out far enough to get a decent rear view. So I'm open to suggestions.
Secondly, I want to replace the current seats with some fixed back racing seats such as SAAS, Recaro or similar. The width of the new seats would need to be 520mm maximum or they won't fit the space and I would need a low sitting position. The original seats are the fibreglass ones supplied by DRB in 2000. Does anyone have a suggestion of which seat is best or have some for sale? Condition is not a problem as I would get them reupholstered when we redo the interior.
Just waiting for the bank balance to climb a little before embarking on the other improvements. I will start a new thread once I kick off the major work.

Mark I like the mirrors john white runs on his rcr40 or the style Pete ransome ran in his drb.
Prior to selling it.
Sorry I don't have any pics but others may.

I like the way the modern mini's side rear view mirrors look on the GT40.
They are not too over the top yet allow for a clean modern mirror, but retain a somewhat fitting look.

As for seats, I really enjoyed the recaro seats that came stock with my DC5 integra type R.
They've been by far the best holding seat that I've tried. However may of my larger butt passengers did complain that they are a little too tight.

Anyway, best of luck with the rebuild, these are merely one mans humble opinion.

Enjoy

Thanks Spookypt and Dimis for your replies.
I had a look at the modern Mini side mirrors and you're right Dimis they do look pretty stylish. I think they would fit nicely with the style of the GT40 so I may check the wreckers & see if there are any about.
I have seen the mirrors on Peter Ransom's car and they are perfect but very expensive. I haven't seen John White's car to be able to check it out.
I like the look of the Recaro seats and may go that way provided they fit.
Thanks again for the suggestions!
Cheers
Dean

Thanks for your replies and ideas guys, some good info there.
I had a look at different falcon options and the XB/XC mirrors aren't bad either.
