Trying out different positions for the camera. Next I will mount it higher , hopefully without roof on if weather improves. Using internal mic, so will have to source external mic to be able to mount it low out of the wind.

Looks great...Love that steering wheel as well...
Chuck some non reflective stuff ( Carpet?) across the dash when your filming...those stripes reflected in the windscreen are blocking the view.
Gotta love the Go Pro.

Cheers,
Warren

Nice work Ian. Yes, a bit higher or off centre would be good to avoid the reflection of the stripe. I subscribed to you on YouTube anyway so I can see your future movie releases!

Yes I agree with the reflection. I didnt realise the reflection till watching the footage. Gopro was mounted directly to suction mount. Will attach extension and offset it next time and see how that goes.

Yes Flick switch for indicators and it was jamming when returning to center. Have since replaced it. Would be nice to have indicator that switches off by itself.

Nice footage, brings back memories, as a teenager, I used to ride my bike up the hill you are descending right at the end of the video in the early 80's for exercise. It used to be a narrow, single lane each way bitumen road, I can almost see our house in the last frame. Also came off my bike coming down from the road from Copperlode Dam (steep access track right at the top), split my knee right open. Hope to catch up someday, will try to bring the Cobra up now that I have a soft top, Cairns was a great place to live. Derek

Hi derek, I remember the road getting updated in mid 90s. Remember a large bump where the cane train rack crossed over the road. Bottomed a few cars across that one

I wish my memory was better with the finer details, we were only there for about 6 months whilst our house was being built a Smithfield, Google Earth street view is great reminiscing tool. Also lived in Grafton St and Cairns Street, dc
