Steering wheel Dia
what diameter steering wheels are people using ?
14 or 15"
Thoughts/advice/crass comments anything along those lines would be good

Unlike some things, smaller is better with respect to steering wheels.

Your size and the steering column location has a lot to do with it, get the size that accommodates you and the car.

I fitted a 14" Mota Lita wheel with 1" dish and it works well with (don't laugh) power steering in my Harrison. Is yours power assisted Rog?

Well, that's the thing, I wanted to put P/S on it but Young Warwick kinda convinced me otherwise, so I re-built a commodore rack and flung it in, but, now after speaking with Andy at Fabrication 81 I'm now in two minds. 
I originally wanted to put a power rack out of Mazda 3 in it with the semi electric P/S and was convinced otherwise.
That's kinda why I asked the question re Rim dia. " the size v/s effort equation !" 
Either way s'cunna fitta Motolita one anyway !

I have a 15" motalita and no power steering and a commodore rack , it is perfectly weighted I think, plenty of feed back, but its a python so engine is mounted a longway back in the engine bay.

I have a 14" on mine, it was fine for manual steering.
I have power steer now purely for the faster rack not to make it lighter.

Mine is 15" had to go out and measure it cause I had no idea.

I think it needs to be established how you measure the dia. I've always understood it to be from the centre of the rim to the centre of the rim but I know a lot of folk measure across the outer circumferance - this usually adds at least 25mm, that about an inch to you folk!
My 'bellissima' Nardi is 360mm (14") centre to centre.

I have a 13" motolita black leather wrapped, really love it. I felt that those going with a more old guy car look were doing wood wheels, but at 29 years old I wanted a more racy look which the black leather seem to achieve.
