Mopar shopping in Murica
Hey all, looks like I will be headed over early July, with the intention of buying a Mopar to import back home.
The date will revolve around the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals on 11/13 July.
The plan is to have a few cars organised to look at before flying over, but to check what else might be available at the show.
The car will need to be restored or very good original. Big Block is preferred (but not a "must") Not fussed either auto or manual, same with either bucket seats or bench. Really wanting a high impact color (will look at anything except browns), prefer a white interior.
On the shopping list (in order of preference)
68/69 Charger.
68/69 Coronet Super Bee.
68/69 Road Runner.
70/71 Barracuda
68/69 GTX
70 Supe Bee (only high impact colors, Lime Light, Moulin Rouge or Vitamin C)
So if any of the American contingent know of such vehicles possably for sale by mid year, please let me know.
I have permission to spend about $30k to spend on buying the car.

I know you said high impact colors, but my favorite on a Mopar has always been "Plum Crazy"

Plum is on the list, I class that as a high impact colour.
I am ok with Black or White, but no browns, russets, gold, silver etc

Sounds like a great trip Dave. I hope you find what you are after. I won't be having the Heart Valve Operation as the ticker is not up to another major operation, so we are off to the Monaco Grand Prix in May with helicopter transfers from Nice. That will be followed up with a cruise on the 'Azamara Quest' along the French Riviera. We have a three day stop-over in Dubai at Raffles. Might as well enjoy my money while I'm still on the topside of the grass. To reinforce that fact, I went ahead and ordered a new set of G25 Ping's. Enjoy your trip.

Had my Stress Test yesterday and the cardiologist has changed his mind. They are now going ahead with a double valve replacement which will probably occur early in 2015. Have to have all the preliminary tests first though. The good thing is that he's given me the thumbs up for our trips in May to the Monaco GP and the 7 week cruise in September from Copenhagen to LA. Gotta love that.

Just so you are on the right page....the Charger pictured is a 68. The Roadrunner and GTX are both 1970. The Cuda is a 70 as a 71 has 4 headlights.
If you go looking, just make sure you look at the right years.
