Hey all, I am taking a holiday from this place.
It has turned to $hit with all the bickering.
I will pop in now and then to see if the place has been sorted out.
But chow for now.

Only saying so, as I don't want people thinking I am being ignorant and not replying.

Tempting, very tempting boxhead. I've managed so far to view it with amusement, but not sure how much longer. See you soon. Someone will let you know when the dust settles no doubt.

I reckon there should be a "whinge" or "Complaints" thread. If you want to whinge or complain put it there an don't bugger up other peoples threads.

If someone else then wants to see who's whinging or complaining about what - they can then go to that thread.

cheers Gregg

That's what forum moderators (Jamo, Bernie) are there for - drop them a PM with any concerns or suggestions.

It's just the time of the month Box. Ride out the emotional and bloated times and get ready to embrace upcoming sexy times...

OK with that mental image burning into your brain, it's a shame for you to bail now. Seems like now more than ever is an exciting time for the Oz Cobra community, with the best ever choice of world class brands, most powerful ever emissions compliant engines, more focus on top shelf engineering and both pro and home builders creating works of art.

Sure, there are some well worn gripes and arguments which everyone has seen and is likely tired of, but there are some great build threads and owner updates still filtering through.

My humble advice to you based on what's in Boxshed...
Less CORONA.
More COBRA.
Less RT.
More AC.

I don't think box is concerned with the level of formal moderation, but more about the seemingly eroding comradery/mateship between us all.

Mates don't bail out. I suspect Dave is making a point rather than disappearing. Hope so anyway.

Like most of us I am really tired of all the whinging - it does more damage to the forum than achieve the desired effect. I am all for balance - and understand their may be some validity to the complaints, but when one interesting build thread after another gets ruined it pisses us all off.
Im not an AP fan boy, but one would really damage their own credibility by describing the stuff coming out of AP as "rubbish".

Ive been guilty of having a bit of a go in the past ( where is sideshow and that other guy that wanted to drop a bomb on my house?) but have always mostly done it tongue in cheek. Im so over all the whining and to assist in putting an end to it I am happy to nominate myself for Australian moderator.

Just email Brent - let him know you want me in. Ill ban any tosser who ruins one more interesting thread with the same tired old ****e. Ill also ban anyone who gets upset when I compare DRB's to the Leyland P76, Anyone with an auto (sorry Gav - your out), anyone with a goatie beard, league fans and anyone who listens to Celine Dion. Also .... Queenslanders - out you get. Anyone who drives too slow in the right lane, anyone in denim shorts, anyone who wears a bluetooth earpiece all the time. All banned. you know you want it - how much better would we all be?

PS - Dave, you get to stay. I will make exceptions for anyone with a baby poo yellow car.

I am chuffed that your dislike of autos came second to your dislike of DRB's.

Will you be starting after you finish the reno's Andy?
If so we have PLENTY of time to find someone better.

Is this an internal aussie problem, or more global with too much chevy slamming?

I've been in the same position as Box feels for a while. This would be my first post on here in months, and it's only to confirm that I log in every now and again just to note that nothing has changed.
