I am probably in the minority here but I do not see that being a big deal. If anything, I would rather see a car in its raw form rather that something that has had quick fixes here and there just for sale.

Lets say that this someone went down to super cheap and bought $10 tub of bog and $6 can of pressure pack. Fixes this to a point that it was not easily noticeable (relatively easy to do in an afternoon). Spends a weekend on paint correction to get all scratches and marks out of the paint and also performs stone chip repair (again, all easy enough to do) and makes this car all shiny. Then someone buys it and drives for a bit. Now as the bog was a quick fix, it works itself loose, cracks, falls off or whatever and now the repair is apparent and the purchaser now feels duped or misled and wonders what's next.

Again, personally I would rather see the raw form rather than pay additional coin for a $16 repair.

Years ago I used to run a detailing business from a prestige car yard. I can tell you that the majority of my work was to make neglected card look great for sale. To give the illusion that this was a well loved and cared for car like its part of the family. The state that many cars were in and the before and afters....... amazing.

When I sold my car I did not detail or polish it, actually It had not been polished for nearly a year. I let any prospective purchaser know so they were seeing it in raw everyday form with nothing to hide.

hi leigh
it actually was worse in the flesh than the pics dictate the matting was all soft and floppy where the resin had been crushed out of it . the car was advertised at the time as been immaculate but it clearly wasn't.
I would have prob still flown down for a look just like I was about to do with you if they had been upfront like you had been with yours .
