Default Tough old thing.

How tough does this old champion look?

Lots of smoke. I'd say he's locked up (from the mark behind the right rear wheel) avoiding a spinning car out of shot to the right, or perhaps it's cement dust (see vid) and he's spinning up the rear wheel. Yeah, that sounds better!

Dates for next year's Revival have just been announced but the theme of next year's event has not been revealed.

Don, you need to be referred to an ophthalmic surgeon to see if your other eye can be opened!

The Cobra has not locked up as there would be tyre smoke coming off the rear tyre. I think it is very obvious to any fair minded person the Cobra has run out of brakes in a desperate attempt to keep up with a 250 GTO in front. As a result of the failing brakes the Cobra has got out of shape and tapped the rear of the GTO causing the GTO to spin - see smoke in front of the Cobra.

PS. If you don't know an ophthalmic surgeon I can refer you to mine!

The blue cobra with the red nose is the one to watch.
David Hart is an amazing driver.

I would have thought the GT 40 would have put the power down a lot better than it did coming off the cnrs

Of course Peter -- why didn't I see that?

Oh that's right -- hence the offer to share the services of your opthalmic chappie, who obviously will have his work cut out removing the 250 GTO images from your corneas.

Looking at the stance and the inward flex of the rear tyre sidewall, I'd suggest he's in the middle of a spin himself.

Saw a shot of a '59 Austin A40 Farinna @ 1min 35. Same as my first car. Would never have dreamt of racing that. A whole 998cc -27 hp from memory on the dyno at Tech college. Hydraulic front brakes, linkage rear.
