In the past years I have always enjoyed a new years day drive on the coast, end up going for a few hours along the beach road from Burleigh Heads to Main Beach and beyond.

A great opportunity to see plenty of people doing the 'walk of shame' still in the NYE party frock (possibly sans undergarments), others enjoying the new day and then those that have started the get fit regeime and are sweating like a bali drug mule at customs check.

This year, no drive for me, but I hope that 1-TUFAC gets to cut a NYD lap.

Any time you come up north there is always a drive waiting for you. And a Happy New Year to everyone. A good time to come to Cairns might be june with The Australian Classic Rally in Cairns. My Drb is entered and another black one with a yellow smiley face should be entered plus the usual classics and super cars
