Default Coyote Emissions

Sorry if there is a thread going on this but here goes.

Has anyone got a crate Coyote motor past emission testing in Oz? WA is 5 gas testing at moment so would like to hear one past over here?

I'm thinking the Coyote will be a nice change from the old Windsor 5.0 in the new Pace ( if Wazza ever collects my deposit)....

Some come on Coyote Owners lets hear what you got .

Im thinking this motor

and the ecu set up that accompanies the motor....seems an easy install. then convert to 8 stack after rego??

That engine is a stock Mustang engine and runs a virtually stock Mustang EFI system, ECU setup etc, so with the appropriate cat converters it will easily pass your emissions test there.

I have a stroked 351 to 414 in my 40........I'm looking for smooth power delivery with the new car.

Where is the best place to get a crate Coyote from in Oz?

351 is the max you can stroke a coyote, just saying you would have something pretty unique in australia with that motor.

It's good to know there are upgrade options available. Yes the Cats are a big game changer. My completely stock 5.0l windsor had trouble passing emissions but a Cat change completely cleaned up my engine.

Have a chat to John at Herrods (03) 9464 5100 about emissions and Coyote crate engines.

This is the super charged version in a cobra and laps QR almost the same times as the super V8s - on road tyres -- and I believe that the engine complies with all relevant adrs

"Mod" as in Modular, SOHC and DOHC incl vvti -- V6 V8 V10 V12
The DOHC V8s are about the same overall dims. -- fat -- they've covered a lot of bases with these family of engines

Which cats would you suggest for a stroked 5.0l to help pass IM240 test

Cheers

I used late model Falcon cats, the large FG ones....I think they are Euro 3 and have secondary combustion which cleans up the emissions very well....In saying that if your ECU is low resolution and you have a big cam I dont think anything will help...

Running a mild cam and am thinking of running a F.A.S.T Ezi Efi system.
Will do some more research into low resolution as you say.

Cheers
