Default QCCC BREAKY May

Just putting it out there for the Northerners that if the weather looks the goods, I'm heading down to the GC breaky with Towmaster (if he can get his car fixed) and happy to invite anyone else along who wants to jump onto our little group. You're most welcome to join us.

Leaving Coolum about 5am catching up with Ash around Landsborough about 530 and then hopefully making it to the breaky by 7.15ish for car park banter.

All welcome to join us. Ive seen quite a few Cobras getting about up here that I don't recognise so the more the merrier for our little sprint down south.

If someone wants to confirm the date that'd be appreciated but I "think" (don't crucify me if I'm wrong again) that its Sunday the 3rd.

Matt

Maybe we could do a post club breaky tunnel run??? The brisbanites would be heading that way anyway. I know we did one once with Towmaster???

Just an idea for expansion if interested???

Spook I'm riding down to Gloucester on Thursday for our annual bike get together this weekend. Have a look at the weather forecast for Thur and Fri between here and Bendemeer (my Thur overnighter) and it looks like I'm in for a bloody wet two days.

I'd imagine Craig Jeff Brad Troy and Grant could be keen if it's not pi$$ing down here as well.

Yep, I'm keen. We usually leave the Shell servo on Coro Drive at 6:30, so I guess that would make it about 6:50 outside Caltex on the Bogandome off ramp? Jim's also often part of the group with his monster Harrison.

Brad, are you right to join in from the Caltex?

Oh bugger, I realised my car is over at Dad's place at the moment. I might pinch his car for the drive down while he's away..!

Yeah ... good luck with that!

Sorry Mr Diakos. How could the best sounding car in the club have slipped my mind?

So Dad's riding his motorbike interstate in the rain.
Jeff has just said he's trout fishing - probably in the rain.

Brad, it's the servo at the main entrance into the Hyperdome once you exit the highway (going southbound). Red Rooster is on one corner and the Caltex is on the other.

Brad, I'm a bit of a weather nerd and I reckon by Saturday morning it'll be perfect and will get better as time passes. Poor Don will cop the brunt of the bad stuff Thurs/Fri. Especially heading Sth.

An ECL is forming off the SE QLD/NSW NTH Coast and as it pushes south winds to its north will swing Sth then SW so expect Westerlies Saturday arvo and Sunday.

Great surfing conditions all weekend I hope. I'll be low flying to get back home before lunch to get a bag full.

Now I've done it.......if it rains I'll get bagged to the eye balls.

Bloody ECL is taking its time to form. Still on the NW tip of Fraser. Rain proper not due here for 8 hours and yet we've already had 120mm. Should have already been passing the Goldy by now. Argh. Not looking good for me for Sunday at all.

Dad rode down to Bendemeer yesterday and said the weather wasn't too bad. The ride from there to Gloucester (I'm assuming down Thunderbolts Way) today was "Very unpleasant; toughest 200km ever"!!!

I bet he doesn't tell Mum how treacherous the ride was. Women love hearing about frightening motorcycle rides..!

I remain hopeful that it'll blow through by early afternoon tomorrow. Just in time for a nice drive down the coast.
