The 450S had a V8 in it and how about those sexy lines and curves.

I have often thought about a 450S as a scratch build
I see it as a bit of an antecedent to the Cobra - particularly given one of the former notable drivers...

Exactly!!! It's not that I have anything against the comp 289 Cobras (or any Cobra model) because they're absolutely gorgeous. But sometimes when you paint outside the lines, an equally gorgeous work of art emerges.
@Peter: thanks for the link to the other scratch/kit car forum. I wasn't aware of it and I can see a bunch of like minded people there. That 250 TR is beautiful.

Thanks for the link LB. It's hard to know what car I'd own for that kind of money...

Another option.
Squeezing a V12 in might be a challenge, MEV replicar
Not quite a locost, yet not quite a Jag.

I could count the 289's on the fingers of no hands at every cobra nats I've been to. Lots of great cars suggested but no more rare than a 289 in Australia at least.

Some 2 or 3 years later. It was also at the 1st Nats at Mildura - no pic

By jove I do believe you have taken up that challenge! Good stuff and thanks Spook for pointing us to that thread - I wouldn't have noticed it otherwise.
