Default PM responses

When ever I get a PM and respond to it, I have no record of it ever being sent or it's content. What am I doing wrong.
I know the message goes through because I get a response but why cant I see it.

Hi Russell
Go to user CP, in the left column where is says private messages it should have a small arrow next to it, touch that and you should get a drop down menu with inbox, sent, etc
That is the only way I know how to see my sent messages etc.
My question is where have all my likes gone?

I do that and can find some of the incoming messages but no out going messages. Got me confused.

Russell, On the top right of this page you will see "Welcome, Russell9318" with your last visit date etc.

Directly under your last visit date you see the words "Private Messages" in blue with the number of unread messages and a total number of messages on file.

Click on the blue "Private messages" and a new window will open showing your messages.

In this new window is a box saying "In box" with an arrow pointing down .... Click on the arrow and select "Sent messages" to see all the PM's you have sent.

Although what Lexluther mentioned should work too.

I have the exact same problem. Unable to see my sent messages and also the forum has crashed on my computer each time I send a PM, so to be sure I send the message a second time. Can not find my sent messages anywhere!

Likes are broken. I asked jamo about that a while back and they're still trying to fix that.

And there I was deluding myself into the (obviously mistaken) belief I could push a few buttons in the right order to send a pm. I checked the box and there was nothing there.

Sorry to a couple of people in Darwin who said hi to me. I wasn't being rude by not replying- just incompetent.

Dave

The whole vBulletin forum they choose to use seems buggy. I constantly get pages that don't respond or time out errors amongst other page loading problems. I have sent messages off before to the webmaster but get zip in relation to responses. Seems like it is poorly hosted somewhere as I am a member of other forums that use vBulletin and its is fine!!

This vBulletin version is ANCIENT (2009). They're lucky the whole thing hasn't been hacked and compromised.

also see here for more discussions;
Why is this site so broken

Thanks Rebel, I tried that and it comes up with (0 messages). Obviously a bug somewhere.

Yes Dave, computers do have a way of diminishing ones overall feeling of self worth.

Cheers

I simply can't understand why they don't update vBulletin to the latest version rather than use a buggy version from 2009???? Am I missing something?????

Time, madt, I'd say. Plus, I bet the migration, with all the data and history, would be at risk. I'd say the databases are already corrupted, hence why many of our pm features and likes don't work, for example. So I'd bet that they've tried a migration once and that's what caused the current faults we have.
