Yep, If you use the corvette filter regulator then most use the ford MPA in the tank. Much easier to fit and will accept the Walbro 255Ltr pump.

The fuel system setup was all done by Ian at this workshop

Double post sorry

I reckon a switch to a Jag rear would be a big step backwards in handling and performance.

No offence to any of our Jag rear equipped brethren :o

Hmm how about a nissan r32 rear end like the harrison kits?

Modena 07-07-2015 06:06 AM

e-clip, many others have been down your road, and they have SORTED IT. Don't try and re-invent the wheel, refer earlier posts.

Jaydee 07-07-2015 07:54 AM

If you start cutting up the main chassis, your engineer wont like it. It will need to be torsion tested etc.
Take Aussie Mike's advice and cut down the rear suspension arms. Much easier.

e-clip - I'd focus on getting it registered as is. As Modena said - there are a few already well sorted CR's (also doing very well on the track too) that use the same rear end as yours - albeit with the bump-steer fix. I know because they have passed me :-)

Rego is hard enough without the whole engineering/testing of major chassis/rear-end changes.

Just my opinion though.

cheers

Gregg

I agree with the three previous posts.
No need to create more problems for yourself prior to rego.
There's probably a better way to say this, but put your rear end in Aussie Mike's hands and all will be well. :)

This is mine with 15 inch and BillBoards (no modded suspension)

(sorry for yet another pic everyone)

Aussie Mike 07-12-2015 07:31 PM

Thanks Dave. I was looking everywhere for a pic of yours with the billboards fitted.

I think Mando ended up with the same rear offsets as me.

Cheers

That's very interesting Mr boxhead. What wheel sizes are the 15" and offset ?
Thanks

Gav 07-12-2015 10:01 PM

Down in the weeds Dave ;)

boxhead 07-13-2015 12:04 AM

Typical Gav, no grass anywhere on my block except were I do not want it.

That photo of Box's car looks like proof that you can get the look you're after without having to reengineer your rear suspension. Good news!

Anyone interested in lending a hand in buliding the cobra, I need some guidance ?

boxhead 07-22-2015 12:12 AM

I bought the rims second hand from an x member here. I will have them off in a few weeks, so will measure up, instead of guessing (and likely guessing wrong)

Made a mock up of the pipe work needed for the radiator. Was thinking of getting it made up in stainless or alloy. Any advise would be appreciated.

Gav 03-08-2016 04:42 PM

Buy a straight thermostat housing, that will simplify things a bit.
