Hi Ben,

This weekend, the NSW Cobra Club had a two day run to Bathurst. This morning we visited Abercrombie House on the outskirts of Bathurst for breakfast and a tour of the mansion. Guess who turned up. I thought you might like to see your old car. She is keeping it in tip top condition as you can see and she still loves it.

Some progress to report.

Left Thursday night with a mate and a hire trailer, 10 hours later ready to load up at Pace. Amazing to see so many Cobras and GT40's in various states of completion.

Loaded up my body and as many parts as I could fit in the VF SSV, then headed back to Woolgoolga for a nights rest. Made it home a little wet but all ok Saturday afternoon.

Tomorrow I will be sorting out some new racking and getting the chassis on the trolley I made a few weeks ago.

Thanks again to Craig, Woz and the team for looking after me.

Cheers,

Ben

Nice work Ben.

Did you just borrow those trolley wheels on the chassis for transport? Are you going for another trip for more parts or did you fit everything in ok? Will we catch you at the Nationals next weekend?

Hello Guye,

I used the loaner castor wheels from Pace.

Still not sure how I will get more of the parts down, hopefully there is some room on a trailer bound for the Nationals so I can pick up while I am there on the Saturday and Sunday.

Cheers,

Ben

Billet alloy....... looking at this never gets old.

Nice looking parts shelves and I presume that the storage containers are all the provided nuts and bolts with exploded diagrams to assist with the build. Pure class right there AP.

But.......... then you dont get to know the local bolt shop guys going there nearly every weekend sourcing replacements for fixing solutions for your build, which some may say is part of the fun.

Anyway, nice work and it will be interesting to follow this.

Ben, if you can wait....not sure how long.....for my kit to arrive, there may be enough room on the pallet for the balance of your kit.

Oh don't worry - even with the great comprehensive kit you STILL find excuses to go shopping

I reckon those shelves will empty out pretty quick. The Pace looks pretty straightforward to bolt everything together.

Cheers

A few of the B Club guys dropped over today to give me a hand taking the body off - really easy process.

Geez the body and chassis are really light!

Many more bits on the way with Messy's car this week, so I had better get busy making more room.

Cheers,

Ben

Ben, by the time you have finished with that chassis, I reckon it will be a real shame to fit the body back on that chassis. It will cover up your fine detail...

Really proud to have you taking our kit in this direction.

Have fun.

BTW If you want to show off how strong you, just lift up the front of the chassis with one arm when someone is watching. It's one of my favourite tricks at the factory to anyone that is interested enough to watch.

Well overdue for an update.

It was a year last week that I picked up my kit from Pace. Progress has been a bit slow however I am not in a rush.
