Hi Sicko, definitely talk to an engineer before you start spending big bucks. I believe the chassis on the RAM is strong and most likely to pass the test, but you want to make sure before unloading your wallet on driveline. Ex S.A president Dean Fava has a big block RAM. Just Dreamin might now if he has any factory documents.
There are so many options for engine and g/box. Some have used pretty much stock Boss 5.4's, Coyote 5.0 and LS series variants. Some have changed induction etc on these as well and still passed the IM240 emissions test. So there's a good choice for you.
