We all know Wazza's a veritable Nutri Bullet Gav, he can handle it. %/
We'll be there. :3DSMILE: |
Nice to hear/see some new people coming along as well as the usual suspects. Great to see some more AP's and Superformance Beasties buzzing about plus whatever else comes to the table. Ash is leaving his Commodore Cup at home , Geoff T no longer has his Cobra (although Im pretty sure he's bringing his MARC Car) and Gary H is going to the snow with his kids so the event is wide open for newbies to grab some of that sort after plastic-ware!
I'd hate to see it suffer poor attendance, as has been the overall concern by organisers for the last few years. I really appreciate everything the organisers do to get this event going and deliver the success it does EVERY year. However with the event not too far away can everyone start geeing up everyone to get their entries in (when they appear on the NSWCC website) and get the attendance numbers up early? The club committee's fret about meeting their financial commitments and it'd be great if they could breath an early sigh of relief this year knowing their a$$es are covered and then they can spend their energy just worrying about delivering a great weekend and great weather! Im hearing Shelbyfest is not happening next year (true Vicco's?) so this is it. Don't let the Cobras lose their grip on that long weekend at Wakefield Park as there's PLENTY of people punching on to steal it from us. As usual, my hand is up to help wherever is needed. Spookypt |
I'm in (bringing the "Mizzi Missile") and looking forward to meeting some of the other Classic Revival owners there!
|
We are all looking forward to seeing it!

Im in of course. Lot to do before though - finish the top and install my cam thats been sitting on the shelf for 12 months, then figure out what to do about tyres. Might end up going to class 3.

Is there any program info regarding the 2016 Cobra Car Nationals as a friend and myself were planning on driving over just to be spectators so I can check out some of the cars in the flesh and do some side by side comparisons before I bite the bullet and order or buy an AC. Cheers

Scott, you will find info for the Nats on the Cobra Car Club of NSW shortly, see link below.
In short it usually goes like this: •Friday 30 Sept - track practice - casual day most cars have arrived. •Saturday 1 Oct - Show and Shine, Timed Hill Climb, Drags, Slalom, and a sponsors Hot Lap in the afternoon. •Sunday 2nd - Timed Supersprints ie, 6 cars on track together. Each night a dinner and socialising at various establishments. Cobra Car Club of NSW : Cobra Car Club of NSW |
Thanks David. Much appreciated.
Cheers Scott |
Spot on David,
The Supplementary Regulations will be coming out shortly - probably later this week. Entries this year will be online and you will be able to pay using paypal if you choose. We are just about to go through final testing of the online entry form. Kimbo |

I presume this is a semi open event i.e. bring what you have got or is it restricted to cobras and GT40's and the like only.
|
Yes Wil, there is a class for "others". Classes have changed a bit over the years to best suit what style of car is built. The rest is categorised depending on engine capacity, tyres - slicks or streets or control tyre class, forced induction and ladies.
The supplementary regs lists all the classes - 8 from memory. |
