This is not strictly correct. In the good old wild west we are able to use pretty much all the components. I had to add some bits like 3rd brake light, side repeaters, headrests, but I think the only bit I actually changed was the headlights.

So you changed one component then......well over here in the wild East "one" is a number....so you did, indeed, need to change a number of components

Don't you just love your kit being misrepresented Tim? Oh the irony.....

Not sure if the this post is allowed now this is a business forum...

Everything proceeding and including this sentence is IMO.

You got to look at gforce, I bought a kit from them and it is beautifully made, the body is straight and everything fits properly, so you don't have to spend money on fibre glassing, look at some of the builds on this site to see what a huge job that is.
Also contact the WA Cobra club before you decide.
Cheers
Greg

For what it is worth and being here in Perth, i have experience painting a few cobras of varying makes, i can only say that the newer gforce bodies are way better than the earlier ones, they do however still need work to make them nice and to align panels properly.

This is not to dismiss considering gforce as a manufacturer, just my humble opinion.

Id be happy to drive in gelcoat for a while, but you do need to allow a suitable budget for body and paint to get really nice finish when you are ready.

By all means get along to one of the local cobra club meetings. We'd love to have you along and you can get to see many cars of different manufacturers as well.......
