For medium weight items, I use the wall mount brackets. I have them on three walls of an ancillary room to the garage. What I like about it is I can use 12" shelves on the lower levels and 24" shelves up top.



I used 6"x12" beams for the bench surface. Ridiculous I know, but I wanted a long unencumbered span between the supports. You can put your car on that bench. Don't be jealous of that 1991 Plymouth Colt sneaking into the picture.

By the way - I imported that belt grinder from Oz. One of my favorite tools.

HA! Very similar to mine, including the clutter!
I built mine from lumber years ago too. Added peg board above the bench and plain old kitchen cabinets above across the whole lot. Then put continuous flour lites under the cabinets to light up the bench.
Looks like an old Vidmar tool chest on the right. Good old stuff. I have one in the same place!

Well, it's no beer fridge. And between the dear wifey of 31 years and the Cobra, there is no cash!
