HI MICHAEL
WHAT OTHER COBRA MANUFACTURERS HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT
AND HOW DO YOU FEEL THEY SHAPE UP AGAINST CLASSIC REVIVAL? I AM PAINTING MY CAR TIGER ORANGE (COMMODORE COLOUR) FOR SOMETHING DIFFERAINT INSTEAD OF THE USUAL BLUE, RED OR GREEN OF THE MAJORITY. LET ME TELL YOU THAT THE EXCITING FEELING OF EVEN THINKING ABOUT BIULDING A COBRA ONLY GETS WORSE AND NEVER SEEMS TO GO AWAY.

HAPPY HUNTING

CRAIG W.

I also saw your car Craig. Awesome. Looking forward to the end of the year when mine arrives. Man, Ian is busy!

Would you know where i could find an alloy Ford 351? Do they in fact make these?

Hi Michael. It is a small world online.

Lightbulb

NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU STUART
ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO GET ANOTHER AUSSIE ON THE FORUM. WHAT TYPE OF KIT ARE YOU GETTING FROM CLASSIC REVIVAL? REGARDING THE ALLOY 351 DONT NOW OF ANY EVER MADE BY FORD BUT ROBNELL IN VIC MAKE A ALLOY BIG BLOCK FOR THERE COBRA KIT. IM SHORE IF YOU GOT ONE FROM THEM THEY'ED LIGHTEN YOUR WALLET SIGNIFICANTLY IN EXCHANGE.

Smile cobra manufacturers

Craig,

i looked at rmc and rc sports cars a few years ago, but the most
recent car i checked out was homebush fibreglass this car uses torana runnig gear,i think there not a bad car but certainly no
comparison to ians cars as far profesionalism & quality goes, the only
other car i want to look at is the warwick harrison car maybe some qld boys can fill me in on that.

Did you buy your rear end new if not it sure looks new.i think with that gen3 chev & trmac being fairly light plus ians bodys being lighter than others your cobra maybe under 1000kg, thats going to be very very quick even with out the vortech.

thanks michael

Hi Michael
after reading your last post i have to ask who is warwick harrison
i havent heard of him before. dose he have his own kit or just assemble other manufactures cars?

the rear end in my car is a brand spanka lsd.

Also i am hoping to get to the cobra nats at wakfield park but my wife and i are exspecting our first baby in the near future and a fairly lenthy business trip through europe (France, Germany, Italy, UK and a few others drive / site see countries i'll be passing through) but hope to delay the trip long enough so i can leave in the middle of october. Because the only firm date i have to keep is last week in october at the world plastics fair in Dussildorf. So i will have to get my priorties straight and get my finger out and go to the cobra nats.

hope to see you there!

I will be ordering it on Friday, providing i have decided on engine config etc. You are right about the 427 from Robnell. However these things are expensive from anywhere.... I also looked (briefly) at a CSX4000 from the man himself. With our exchange rate, $400K+.

I felt a little foolish for thinking it would be anything less!!!

HI CRAIG,

I THINK WARWICK HARRISON USED TO BE A DRB DISTRIBUTOR IN
QLD BEFORE GOING ON TO MAKE HIS OWN KITS,THERES A PHOTO
IN THE LATEST AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC CARS MAG PAGE 59 & 69,
CHECK IT OUT THE NEXT TIME YOUR IN THE PAPER SHOP.
I KNOW HE HAS HIS OWN FRONT A ARM SETUP & THE REAR END
USES NISSAN SKYLINE R33 GTR REAR ENDS OR LIVE 9''.

WE HAVE TO FIND OUT MORE INFO ON WAKEFIELD PARK.

LOOKS LIKE YOUR GOING TO BE BUSY FOR A WHILE CRAIG

THANKS MICHAEL
