Default Aussie Mike - any chance of seeing some of your DVSF2 movies?

Long time, no see! If you get a spare moment, is there any chance of you posting some of your photos and movies from the Fling. Even better - if you have them on CD, I'd be happy to pay for your costs involved in sending me one.

How's the car coming along?

Thanks mate,
Craig

Hi Guys

Sorry for the delay, I haven't had much spare time lately and haven't posted much. My fire-wire card locks up my PC when I try to download the video from the camera at the higher quality levels. I'll have to re-install it with some newer drivers and try it again. If that doesn't fix it I'll have to call in a favour from an IT expert friend of mine. Hope to have something soon.

Cheers

G'DAY, MATE,

BLACKJACK

Hi BLACKJACK!
Thanks for the offer - my email's on the way! Scott (OZVENOM) and I took about 15 rolls of film between us. A friend of Scott managed to get them all onto CD, so I'll get one over to you. It's only still shots - not movies, but there are a couple of ERA GT40 shots that you might be interested in....

Thanks again,
Craig

P.S. - I hope your insurance woes are working out O.K.

P.P.S. - Mike, this doesn't mean that you're off the hook

Hi All,

I gave up trying to get my firewire card working and I bought a new one on the week end. I'll fit it this week and have another go at downloading this video.

For sale: 1 fire wire card, very little use, going cheap.

Cheers

Eureka!!!

I have a working firewire card!!!

I bought a new Adaptec fire wire card to replace my Pinacle systems card that was giving so much trouble. Well the Adaptec card wouldn't even install and I bought it because Adaptec have a cood reputation for compatibility. It turns out that XP professional has a bug (surprise surprise) where on ocasion it will not allow you to ad certain hardware, My friend had a heap of trouble trying to get his Audigy DTS sound card installed. It turns out there is a problem with the registry (that microsoft can't explain) that for some reason rejects the installation of some cards after XP has been running for a while. A friend who is a MCSE guru disovered the fix after a lot of searching through the tech buletin boards. I'm no expert so I've probably got some of this explanation wrong.

The upshot of it all is that I'll finally be able to download all of my DVSFII video and burn it to CD. So for all those people waiting you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

Cheers
