Boxhead

Just looking at old posts for info. for my current build. Is your stepfather still involved with the British wrecking yard?

I am after bits and pieces so would chase this source if available.

Let me know.

Cheers

Default Thanks for the Link

By coincidence I had just received via mail order some rear stop/tail and indicator assemblies from Hobart.

the indicator lenses came without the 'E' symbol in a circle indicating the compliance standard - whereas the stop/tail and an earlier set of indicator assemblies did.

Upon ringing the Hobart distributors - and I get:

'E' symbol?
compliance?
I dunno - I dont have any here - the guys in the warehouse aren't going to open a big box just to look for an 'E'
send 'em back and I'll give you a credit.

Which is all very well except that I still dont have a compliant indicator.

Sooo - I rang British Car Components - they had stock in Sydney - which they brought down to Melbourne and the guy - Alex - rings me today to say he checked the lenses and they have the casting.

All this to sell me a couple of $6.50 lenses

Yay - going to pick them up tomorrow

If the lenses are as described they'll have a very happy new customer.
