Thumbs up FINALLY - the QLDers outnumber the VICs

It was good to catch up with a few other cobra guys for a bit of Mexican tonight. Chilis and Coronas.... MMMmmmmm!!!!

Good to see you again Mike, we'll have to come and sample some of Victoria's finest in the future. If not the finest, at least cheap and plentiful!

Driving home afterwards, I couldn't help but think that the polish job on my knob was truly outstanding.... Thanks!

The gang....

Default Vics > QLDers

I don't understand
One of our boys heads north for a meal and all of a sudden the QLD lads are claiming 'Cobraclub supremacy".

I don't think so big fella. I want to see names and states.

I'm thinking you guys may have some form of sun-stroke.

We know the true rulers of the domain.
We rule this Forum like we rule the race track come October

Default Wot a good lookin lot

Mike..was great to meet you..sorry I couldn't stay longer

Now that we banana benders have accepted Mike as a honorary Queenslander....all we gotta do now is work on his southern mates.

Mind you that will be a challenge ... one of them will need to shout us more than just one Mexican meal and a few Coronas to be accepted.

You all take care

Cool H.P. Rules

Sorry but i think Qld rules just by bulk horse power .
Craigs cobra has enough for 3 cobras .
Qld has the wildest cobras . Fact.

Default HP Rules

Lets look at the facts here.

Check the score card from any National event from the last 5 years.

The QLD boys may win the show and shine, but come race day THE VICS WIN HANDS DOWN.

Default well, well, well

Mike thanks from us all , right down under in the Vic State, much appreciated for making the trip north to share the limited Cobra building information us Victorians would love to share with those that are still working out how to make a banana straight.

BUT MATE ! I Know you want to make your Cobra louder than Craigs (750 psi )
You have got no worries there, but by the look of it your shirt is going to be a serious contender

Pssst Vic club think we can get a Vic Club shirt up and running ASAP to help eliminate these embarassing moments

I know you wanted to stand out Mike !, But Really

Wasn't the de-briefing when he took the photos of Amy's underwear over his head?!?

Garrett - you win the award for most smiley faces in any one post!! I bet it was more of a when the driving instructor parked your cobra in the gravel trap..... See, we find out all sorts of info when honorary Qlders start talking!

347 - if we owned Mustangs, we'd be DRIVING Mustangs. We own Cobras, so we WORK on Cobras. Of the four guys at the table, not one of us had a driveable car at the time

Reptyl - Smeagol - I had to do a Google.com search to find out what the hell I'd turned into Within the last 5 years, my little old Fairmont won the outright highest top speed at West Wyalong Is there a competition for least traction / most undriveable car of the event? By the way, I'll take sunstroke over being cold, white, wet and shriveled anyday!!!

Les - picking on "all" of the Qlders still only adds up to a handful. We're outnumbered, but we're not outgunned...

Hi guys,

Great to see Aussie Mike made it to Queensland.

Les - Rebel 1 - left because your shirt was hurting his eyes.

But please guys not to many challenges or gauntlets being thrown down for Goulbourn as the Victorians will have to leave with the trophies again

Working over at McDonald's Racing tomorrow - Saturday - and will take the car for a run around the factories.

Think I will have to put a 36 " hot dog on instead of the 24 " but need good quality ones. Any ideas of a purchase point??

Cheers all

Bernie

Default Competitive?

Hadn't noticed that

what between:
Loudest Cobra (Qld Win)
Fastest Cobra (Qld Win)
Most trophies .. we dont wax, so Vic can have it
Ford vs Ch..Che....nuh..still cant say that word
Sun vs Cold and miserable (Qld win)
Dressy vs Shi$$y shirt (Qld win)

Competitive?, Nuh!

Bernie, I wanted the longest possible mufflers within my sidepipes. I ended up with perforated sheet rolled to 3.5" diameter, fibreglass packed tight around this, with a 5" stainless pipe holding it all together. After one afternoon at Qld Raceway, a lot of the fibreglass packing melted away, making the car too loud for the street.
Version 2 now has stainless wool packing around the perf tube, then a really thick fibreglass matting outside this. Just to be sure, there a spiral welded into the exhaust so that all exhaust is forced out and through the perf tubing, rather than running straight out the pipe. It might cost a couple of horsepower, but the chance of making the pipes a little quieter is well worth a couple of horses.

Jason, no - it's not a GT, but it does have a reasonable size motor.
