Default The power of the Dark side is growing.

The Victorians are one step closer to world domination.

I'd like to welcome Leeroy to the Forum.

Leeroy is another Victorian who's building a Classic Revival with LS1 & T56. He's at about the same build stage as me. So look out at next years Nationals as the LS1 crowd will be a Force to be reckoned with.

Cheers

Default Welcome Leeroy

To the funny farm. You'll find a heap of support here for the rig you're putting together.

Seems to be a few Southern folks (sp) using the LS1 and T56.

Gotta be something in the water.

Dont forget that I am another of the gen III builders
Shed is all ready for its new baby.
Made my engine stand and mounted the engine last weekend so it will be ready to pull apart at a later stage, i was going to pull it apart soon but i have decided to get the car in the shed first, and with the engine all together it takes up less room.
I cannot describe the excitement when i think it will be in my shed soon.

P.S am I classed as Victorian (born in Caulfield, lived there for 21 years) or am i Queenslander (Lived there for 12 years, moved to Alice springs last september, also married a Qld girl)
Or am I now classed as a Territorian?

Default Oi Boxhead maaaaaaate

Given that your up north....given that you woke up to yaself and lived in the sunny state...given that you're married to a Queensland lady..then you're definitely a Queenslander.

However, it sure is apparent that they feed Victorian new borns some strange chemical which includes, amonst other side effects, a tolerance of LS1's.

Were you weaned on VB??

When does the car get there?. have you been practicing ya Vroom Vroom noises?

Default Vroom Vroom noises

My poor wife Ronda cant stop laughing when we drive anywhere as i make the loudest open side pipe noise i can when driveing.
My car will be ready to ship to me early October
The love of the Ls1 is from the Holden background, qualified tech with about 15 years Holden.
While I am here does anyone have any recomendations for floor paint supplies in my garage?
Bought a bar fridge for the garage tonite, will be looking for a reverse cycle a/c heater soon to keep the garage at working temps through summer and winter.

P.S I was bought up on VB and Crownies, but I do much rather prefer XXXX Gold now

Thumbs up Floor Surface

MOrning, BOxhead...

Whilst Mr Mike is attending to some tricky modifications to my Cobra and shes out of the garage i've been tinkering with making it look like a area that befits what hides inside. So with the wall painted white ( ready for some Cobra pic's ) the Floor was the next on the list.
I've contracted a company in Melb TM Contracting ( 0411 745 209 ) or terry.mankey@bigpond.com.au to lay a non slip coloured epoxy floor.
There details say its a Parcham Nitromorter 903 base resin ( two coats )
Then laying a Parchem Durafloor HP epoxy as the top coat.

I've gone for a charcoal colour to ensure the strobe lighting and mirror ball with the laser strip lighting so the Cobra gets the desired fanfair when the sensor picks up that the garage door is opening.
Materials and install @ $ 796.00.

Your the one logging on from home to check out the forum.
I'm at work. (but I do get paid for this)
I'd love to be making some babies right now but my work mate Stuart may have something to say about that.

Thumbs up Thanks for the welcome

Thanks for the welcome. Seemed to stuff up my first intro to the forum but will get the hang of it soon. Posted some pic's of the progress to date but this working full time seems to slow things down. Must pickup my light saber & black cloak from the cleaners.

Jason, I am your father. Just look at our family album, you can see the resemblance.

Unleash your anger and join us on the Dark side. Stand by my side and we will crush the Ford aliance and all who stand against us.

By the way it looks like I got the best "bang for your buck" engine after all.

Hey Leeroy,

You have as much chance of getting to Wakefield as I have.

I am throwing the body on in Gel coat and driving it up anyway.

Long live white Gel coat

Cheers

Default Jason, I am your father

Very immature Aussie Mike.

This forum should be used for serious questions and technical information.
Your childish tomfoolery should not have to be tolerated.

Nice work by the way.
I think it goes ROTFIFOL

Donk and Box? If I said that over here I think I would be arrested, lol. I guess I'm just going to have to visit the land down under and try to figure this all out.

......hope I can rent something with a BLUE OVAL while I'm there. The alliance WILL overcome.
