Box - to eliminate the dry starting, you might want to consider http://www.accusump.com/acc_products/acc_units.html I put one on my car, and it's reassuring to see the oil pressure rise to 30+ psi before I even start cranking the motor over.

Alloy flywheel.... MMmmm - quick revver!

For some reason, my firewall is blocking heaps of images from ClubCobra (some AdBlocking software I think...) I can't see any of the new pics that you just posted. I'm keen to see the forced induction ones, as you so accurately predicted

Any chance of emailing them to cobraracer@yahoo.com ?

Thanks mate!

Got 'em thanks Ronda That makes a lot of sense to run the blower belt as they have - much easier fitment! Can I see an air/water intercooler in there too?

Would one of those blowers make it under the hood of a Cobra? Mike - how much room do you have from the top of the block to the underside of the bonnet?

I will measure from the manifold base (where the foam seal is) to the top of the blower, if any of the classic revival guys have there engines in and bodies on we can measure to see how close it is
i will also measure length width and an alignment to see where it is located exactlly in relation to for and aft on the motor.

Boxhead, The long oil line theory makes sense. I was checking out Craig's Acusump and it's a great idea. It would not only give you heaps of pressure at start up but it would eliminate any oil surge problems. Do you think an oil cooler is nesecary for an LS1?

There is heaps of room between the top of the block and the underside of the bonet in a Classic Revival. I'll run a tape measure over it tonight.

Cheers

The Z06 pan can help with clearance, cooling, and oil movement.

An other view to show clearance and a top view to show intake during a test fit.

That Whipple supercharger kit from Star performance has a water/air intercooler under it. It makes 340 rear wheel KW on a stock LS1 @ 11lbs boost. With head and cam mods they are making 400+ rear wheel KW on a stock bottom end. The kit is AU$19,000 drive in drive out.

Cheers

That is what this car has fitted in it
There is a cooler at the front to cool the water and under the
manifold is the water over intercooler.
I had a look at this car on the hoist this afternoon and it is very impressive
The exhaust system is all custom made from extractors through to the mufflers
Aparantly this is the car that starr performance built and used as there show car, apparntly it was classed as commodore of the year in most magazines
the gearbox is standard inside and he hasnt had any problems with it.
the oil filter is mounted away from the engine under the car near the gearbox, only because the extractors are so big.
I didnt get a chance to measure anything today but i will try to over the next few days.
I will upload some more pics of this car soon, gotta go and play snooker.
