Angry STOLEN COBRA!!!! Keep an eye out.

Trevor Kilpatrick's Cobra was stolen from Moama on Thursday.

I haven't got a photo handy at present to post.
It is a very well known Car within the Australian Cobra club.
Black with 18 inch AJR wheels, a carbon-fibre dash and the seats black with red piping.
Powered by a Whipple charged stroked Windsor (6.8 lt). Rego is PJZ181.
He did not have his sports sedan wing on it when it was taken.
This was the car that won the super sprits at last years nationals.
If you spot it or have some information call Trev on 03 54282464.

If someone has a photo of Trev's Cobra please post it here for him.

It didn't take long before the photos started to roll in via email.

Jason,

Thats bad news. Perhaps Trev can send some copies of photos around the many speed shops and associated performamnce workshops.

The guys at McDonald's Racing suggested that often there is talk around these locations.

Will keep an eye out. Shi...thats bad I know he was keen to be at Wakefield Raceway.

How was it taken?

Not sure of the details.
I think it was taken from the front of his hotel.

Hi Jason,

You are obviously at work so have a good night.

I have just been caught out playing around here instead of working.

Anne walked in after being out with the girls and got reaaly cheeky as they were with her.

Talk soon about sorting out my pictures and getting my site set up like you have done.

Bye

Let me get this straight.
Anne walked in after being out on the town with the girls and had a go at you for catching up with your forum buddies.
A poor hard working sole like yourself is deserving of a quick five-minute break at the end of a hard night slaving over the burger grills.
I think Anne should be on burger duties for the rest of the week as penance for cheekiness.

Hi Jason,

I will pass on your thoughts to Anne. I have learnt to lip read

Seriously, she is looking after things whilst I am over in Melbourne playing cars.

She is a real top girl and does all the Postal mail jobs and banking and works very hard.

She has also learnt how to check out clubcobra.

I heard today that Laurie nearly has his car repaired. The story is that he had it written off and has purchased the wreck back and is currently repairing it. Will no doubt hear about it all at Wakefield. I have hesitated in ringing him as I thought he would be busy in the shed.

Carmen will call out to him " Laaauuuriieeeeee" at 101dB's and thats as loud as my exhaust. Sorry Laurie just joking. So won't ring him and get him out of his shed.

Obviously no news on Trevors car.

Cheers

oh hell if I hear Slim Dusty on the radio again I will un hook the mufflers. There's just so much of the 'Pub with no Beer' that one can take

See you I am on Todds computer in Melbourne and he wants to check his Emails.

Hey Guys :3DSMILE"

As there is obviously no new Posting here Trevs car is still missing??

Any thoughts

What can we do to make our Cobra more difficult for thieves. Especially those who hang around the Victoria Market area on club nights.

Perhaps club meetings could be moved to the Commodore Motel.

Look into Lo-Jack. Very rewarding when it does work.

I have heard that a new way to get around it is to just put the car in a shipping crate...the big metal ones...and the signal can't get out....Plus the cops have to have the lojack system installed.

Consider a GPS-based system like GeoTracer instead (http://www.geotracer.net/GeoTracer).

It uses GPS to locate the car and analog cellular service to contact it. Specially equiped police vehicles are not required. Anyone with the right PIN number and a web browser can find out where their vehicle is, what direction it is going, and how fast it is going at any moment.

It would still be a problem if you put it in a shipping crate, though. It would still report the last known GPS coordinates if it still had cellular service inside the crate, but if they moved the crate you are SOL.

Thumbs down

Hi all;,

Will look into the GPS system.

Have heard a little about it.

I guess it hard when someone takes your car from outside a motel after a competition run.

Cheers
