Static compression in the 8s is pretty much standard for forced induction. There are SO MANY variables regarding camshaft Lobe Centre and duration, type of blower/turbo, boost pressure, cylinder head material, ignition timing etc. I'm using 98 octane for my car. 8.5:1, alloy heads, lots of duration and a 114 lobe centre, 16psi boost, 18 degrees total timing under boost.

As far as carbs and turbos..... out of my league sorry.

Hi guys,

Just surfing around the www.clubcobra site.

At McDonald Bros. Racing today and Rob Hamilton called over to give me a bit of a hand. He dropped off my roof bows.

Sorry Andy but he did neglect your car for a day to do the hood bows.

Unfortunately I will not have the roof done for Wakefield Park as the trimmer has now gone off with his kids on holidays for two weeks.

Still (slightly) confident I will have the car at Wakefield Park

Just after Rob left Michael Vjaric turned up in his Trans Am.

He showed me the dyno sheets from the shootout at the Holden Ford event in Sydney. Just on 986HP at the rear wheels. Two or three near vertical climb lines.

He was excited as two or three magazine are running stories on his car.

To have the time and the desire

Then again he does drive it on the road.

Cheers

Bernie
