I too used to play for my school until after one "hospital pass" too many I realised there are better things to do on a Saturday morning than getting jumped on by meatheads trying to kill you.......

Wilf - a tall fella like yourself would have made great lineout material... Very fine about the Aussie Whine - imagine how we would have moaned if you guys won the match without scoring. Lucky you got one over the line.
I'm still in awe of a man that has the presence of mind, not to mention amazing ability, to pot a field goal from his weak foot in the dying seconds to win the World Cup. Legend !
Tony - load some pics of your car into the Cobra gallery ! I'd love to see how a BMW V8 looks in a Cobra.

Piccies loaded in gallery as requested. Its a tight fit but it all fits OK. Even kept the original engine driven Viscous cooling fan to help cool the sump.....

The green thing is in fact an air filter, and the fan was wired incorrectly at the factory when it was assembledso that it set up a wierd electrical noise signal which then caused the ECU to close the engine down. Highly frustrating and difficult to track down.
Funnily enough our daddy's boy didnt chip in to help with advice then but glad to see he's making up for it now !!
Cheers,
Tony

Hey Wilf!....Can you send over a case of that brew ya advertising?
Pete (PCC) talks funny like you prolly do and he's threatening to put on a shindig over chrissy.
He would just love a case of that stuff. I'll bet he would prefer to serve us that rather than feed us our preferred Ale.

Now Les.
The beer in the pic looks like some foreign brew (dutch or belgium).
A beer that I would yearn for would be John Smiths Magnet.
Saying that now climatised to the crownies - sweet, but refreshing.
Car's still away at the specialist having its wiring problems traced and fixed.
Should be back soon for Scott to lift the front.
Then its off to the paint shop for dent repairs.
Never ending.

Daddy`s Boy...LOL!
I sadly joined the UK forum after Tony had sorted the problem out, so I couldn`t 'chip-in' anything. I wasn`t being unsympathetic.....I thought his'triumph-over-adversity' story could do with an airing here, and finally, lovely job mate!
There aren`t many folk take on such a brave route to powering thier dreams!
Nik.

Rebel 1,
You must have perfect Cobra weather all year round, lucky blighter.....last time I was there in July I as passed by a Burgundy coloured Cobra on the motorway........I was in a minivan on the way to the airport so I couldnt have a really good gawp, but it really made my day. Do you know the owner.?
PCC, you must be a beer hound........its Export 33 from France, I buy in bulk three to four times per year, its better (IMHO) than English lager and far cheaper in France.
Nik, I think we may have had a clash of humours.......and I had just come in from fitting trim panels underneath the dashboard to cover all the steering linkeage, wiring , wiper motor etc from SVA failure ( sharp edges close to knees etc) so after hanging like a bat for a couple of hours in an unheated freezing cold garage ( gas fan heater kaput) with my feet locked through the roll hoops, my arms going to sleep and my head bashing the brake pedal every two minutes I was not in the best of moods.........
Cheers,
Tony

Smooch smooch...group hug....
Tony, you're right..Brissy is full time Cobra weather..as my signature says...beautiful one day..perfect the next. When you were here in July, thats our winter, compare that with any other location.
We've got quite an active club here, meet once a month for brekky at a nice Marina just north of the Gold Coast. Real friendly bunch, We even let Pete (PCC) join so that gives you some idea how tolerant we are.
Whats got me bu$$ered about those overseas beers are... Firstly..Why do you give them such fancy names like John Smiths Magnet...You need simple labels..like XXXX or crown..hell...its hard enuff just talking after a few let along spittin out fancy names.
Second thing got me bu$$ered is...how do you get the cat to sit on those bottles. Some of those beers are just plain poison.

Tony, if the Cobra you saw had gold stripes, it belongs to the manager of Queensland's largest HSV Commodore dealership. Terry was Cobra Club president until last year. Nice guy !
If it was burgundy with silver stripes, it's a high-revving 347 stroker owned by a scary looking concreter with a gorgeous blonde wife. Rob also owns a 700hp Chev Impala.
If it had no stripes, I have no idea !
