Wiper Blades
Hi everyone,
I have a new wiper system ready to install except for the wiper arms and blades. Does anyone know what arms to use and from what vehicle ? I belive they are 10" in length. I have a 2 wiper system if this makes a difference.
Tony Cram if you are out there you mentioned in a previous post to get fully adjustable Trico wiper arms if possible. Do you have a part number by any chance or know what vehicle they are intended for ?
Thanks
Dan

Hi Batdan,
I believe Mini and Jaguar have the arms you need, try spares galore in ferntreegully, they should have heaps of new ones.
Cheers Robo

Just to add to the list of options.
Don Pilling at Snake Bite in Labrador Queensland. He has all the necessary bits etc. I off and out in the sun in the Cobra.

Batdan,
You can use mini or jaguar but I would suggest you get some new arms and blades then you know there right and not sloppy. The adjustable trico arms you can fit the length specifically to your setup and the blades are 10". I paid about $28 per arm and about $15 for the blade
Don Pilling (07)5529 0877 will have them and the blades to suit. They are stainless steel (so you can polish them up - watch the pivot connector on the end of the arm they are metal coated and is easily polished back to the metal (I think brass).)
You might want to shop around. Down here there are a few places you can get them from ie Mini Wreckers, Jaguar Wreckers and some specialty classic auto rubber and spares places. (I believe Don bought all the ones from a joint close to where I live.)
If you can wait till tomorrow I will get the part numbers. You might be able to get them from Trico directly.
Regards
TC

Hi Tony,
The adjustable Trico blades sound like what I am after, Repco here in NZ supply Trico so I should be able to get hold of some. Part number would be great, thanks.
Failing that I will contact Don.

Dan

Batdan,
As promised went out into the cobra shed and sifted through my spares box.
Blade details on the packet - "Trico Wiper Blade - B15". On the bottom corner another number was stamped 986138X. They are imported from England.
Wiper Arm details - "Trico - Wiper Arm A103". On the bottom corner again was the number E 2133. Again I suspect they are an import.
Hope this helps. If you have any hassles I can get the details of the Mini Spares joint here that would send them to you.
Regards
TC
