Default Robnell

This is not very helpfull but I tried emailing them regarding a friend of mine who was interested in one, and never a reply for almost a year.

So they may have gone under or just dont reply to emails!

There was a post about this a while ago.

I think I read that Robnell said they were clossing the Bayswater site and consolidating in Essendon. I'm not sure if thats what actually happened though.

Somebody on this site will know for sure.

As far as I know (and it is only hearsay), they have consolidated their operation to Essendon and so the Bayswater factory has been vacated. Apparently, ever since Rob Darnell left the company they have run into technical difficulties. It seems Rob took a big chunk of knowledge with him. I believe that they stopped taking new orders whilst this consolidation was going on with an expectation to restart operations once things are in order. 5 cars were/are being constructed and they will complete these. Darryl is the owner of Robnell now and he also runs Ausjet which is why they are based at Essendon airport.

As I said, this is just hearsay so take it with a grain of salt !

Hopefully we'll see Robnells being made again as they're a terrific vehicle and a bit of an Australian Icon.

Heard Rob Darnell is selling newspapers and milk in a mixed business.

Just another urban myth...

Cheers

I thought they had gone. Website is offline. And they also auctioned all their parts(well I assumed it was all of them). A friend of my brothers bought a couple of their 4.6l modular engines at auction.
