Goodonya Phil...Congratulations.

Smart move turning up at any government department at 4:30 pm.......the pubic servants just wont argue. They're more interested in knocking off on time.

Les,

Yes that was part of the plan. The RTA guy said at one stage during the procesing when there was a hiccup" this thing isnt going to beat me at this time of the day" and it didnt.

I am looking forward to setting my Cobra up and learning how to drive it. Lots of track time is what i need.

Regards,

Phil

Hi Phil
cannot wait to see what you think of the CR with gen3 & 6speed its the same setup as quite a few of us now. Had a drive of a current HSV Clubsport R8 with same eng/box and it was awesome. So what will that make the cobra?? Off to the GP for the next 4 days and can't wait. Great idea to get to RTA late afternoon, must remember that!

Leeroy,

Only had a short drive during the noise test, it felt real good. Engineer reckons CR one of best to drive, he was very impressed with Ians big brake set up. Almost made 1.0g in brake test and they havent been bedded in properly yet.Be abour a month before I am fully finished, need to do upholstery, windshield etc. plus a few special mods.

I am going to GP as well. Popping in to see Mike Murphy Friday night if I can find my way there.

Just read an article about a Gen 111 motor in Monaro with Vortec motor getting 474 kw at wheels. Except for head work mild cam and 80mm TB motor was stock. the engine has done 20,000k's in this form and still holding together. What would that be like in a Cobra.

Regards,

Phil
