Thumbs up Yes another cane toad

Hi everyone,

I have been spying on you all for a while and thought It was About time I joined! - thats if you will have me. I'm yet another QLDER waiting on his car, it's going to be a DRB with commodore running gear. I am still deciding on what sort of donk to put in as everyone has different views but I am seriously considering a gen 3. Any advice would be appreciated!!

regards
Darry

P.s Get the body & chassis in 3 months!! ( I hope)

Darry,

Welcome to CC from Ohio.

I think it's so amusing reading the posts from you fella's from down under. It will be 10 years this summer since I was there...

What sort of donk you're putting in?

Well with a name like Tiler, YOU were definitely the guy I came across in the Tiling Store.

Welcome aboard - We are definitely becoming a force to deal with up here in the sunny part of Aus.

Look forward to meeting up sometime

Unhappy woops

Bugger!

o.k lets hope I'm better at building cobras than I am at typing! - my name is DARRYL not darry!!.

JP- I am thinking of putting the motor out of a Holden Commodore in. It's a 5.7 ltr fuel injected show that I am told can be fiddled around with a fair bit and has alot of extra toys that you can add on.

PCC- yes that was definitely me you met, I'm going to be going to Mcleans bridge on Sunday are you?- if so I'll see you there.

Darryl,

Darry sounds OK

We'll be there if my tyre letters stay on - if not, bring a brush

We're at Vicky Point Saturday competing again'st some muscle cars - should be fun. All day with the Breaka Girls - should keep my boy's busy.

Come along if you're not too busy (by the Coochie ferry terminal I think).

Oh by the way - were exactly is the Macleans Bridge show or is it a case you follow the hot rods (just don't follow me as I haven't a clue).

Thumbs up Mcleans Bridge

PCC,

The only info I've got on Mcleans bridge is that it's on Mt Lindsay highway. Apparently there is a designated spot for cobras (do you think there might be a special spot for people who are cobraless?!!)

Oh I can't bite my tongue forever!

Not another......."Sunshine Stater!"

All other states - especially South Auzzies are certainly getting out numbered!

"You Qlders are breeding like wild rabbits - must be time for another cull" - NASSTY

Bernie you appear to be a hybrid mix of SA and VIC especially the way you drive or is it "fly" across the borders!

Where are all the other South Australians hiding!

Good Luck with your build Darryl

Regards
Lyn

Hey Wildac

If you want true facts as far as "testimony" goes at least our Cobra has been born as a pure bred Ford and not as a mongrel cross breed! ''

PS: if ya Cobra goes who really cares whats under the bonnet!!

Born and bred a Ford girl
Maybe all the South Auzzies are tooooooooo busy building in their sheds to come out for fresh air!!

Cheers
Lyn

10.30 in the morning and the miserable rain is persisting (must be in Melbourne). Hopefully drying up by lunch time - enough time to compete against some other muscle beasts this pm

It had better shine tomorrow ready for Macleans Bridge as this bloody car is as clean as it will ever be

Should be a good turn out (weather permitting)

How often do we get to talk about the weather in QLD?

Radar map shows the rain clearing later this afternoon.

Off to Vicky Point (in the Landcrusier) to check out the action

They usually have a wet-weather alternative meeting place for Macleans Bridge. It's usually the carpark of the shopping centre in Calamvale (the big shopping centre on the left when you turn off Mt Lindsay highway into Compton road - about 200 metres down)

It kills the atmosphere entirely - I don't think I'll bother going. Shame.....

Craig,

My trusted weather chart says fine tomorrow, which generally means blue skies in QLD.

Vicky Point show was cancelled til next week, so will try to get there prior to seeing Johnny Farnham at Sirromet's.

Change your mind about tomorrow and enter that beast of your's.
