Default Heaters

Hey there everyone.
I have another question, what type of heaters are you guys useing?
I have the chance to buy a heater assy from a mini/moke that is made by smiths and fairly compact.
I would like to have pipes to the windscreen and also outlets possably to footwells, I know everyone says it is pretty warm in the wells anyway but damn it is getting cold out here (was 3 degrees in my backyard sunday morning)

On another note I had to giggle to myself yesterday when a neighbour asked me if the subaru with the loud turbo and blow off valve was annoying me because it was so loud.
I pointed at my car and said the subaru will seem quiet compared to that when it is finished.

Boxhead

The latest edition of Australian Street Rodding magazine has an add for Aussie desert Coolers - aluminium radiator manufacturers.

The have a small heater with a number of outlets. 150mm square.

Call in a check the magazine out at the library - sorry newsagents

How did you go with those stainless button head bolts??

Cheers

Bernie

I used the vintage air COMPACT heater/demister

It has two hose connectors for the defrost vents as well as a trapdoor that opens to let hot air into the interior. Comes with all controls etc.

http://www.vintageair.com/catalog.asp

Go to heaters from the index and you'll find 2 heater/demisters.

I used the one on the bottom of the page because it is more compact

Got the regulatory demisters but no heater.

I found the foot wells generate enough heat to the point where I insulated them prior to having the upholstery work done.

Even driving when 10 degrees outside, my lower half is warm enough. Top half - then that's another question.

I suppose us QLD'ers have some advantages other the rest of Oz.

Les - How come your even considering a heater????

Well Pete..It's like this ... I could say that if ever I sell the thing then I didn't wanna restrict my potential buyers. .In other words..I wanted it Victoria friendly.

I'm not gonna say that tho cuz I promised to be nice to our southern cousins.

But...the truth is... All those with RMC's have reported that they dont suffer from warm footboxes. Furthermore, Like you, I have insulated my footboxes and also have heat shields. so I thought....why not just warm the interior too.

Hey....Isn't the weather just glorious this time of year?
