Gday Tony,

Thanks for the welcome, yes i have certainly been bitten by the snake! Most weekends, you guessed it in the garage always working on the cob!

That is a lovely soft top you have had made for your cob. Looks great on the car! I have already purchased the hard top from Doug and will start to make the mods to it next tues. Going across to Mopar Motors (Dr Rod) in Thomastown on tues or weds to see Sam. Sam and i will do the trimming to the fibreglass. I tell you what if you want a perfectionist to do work on your car's body work then speak to him! His garage is the cleanest i've ever seen in my life not to mention his work.

Thanks for the other contact for the trimming i will look up Chris's number when i get home next tues. He sure looks like a perfectionist! The trimming that needs to be done is the inside of the roof plus the side curtains. Thank you once again for your help on the trimming side of things!

I'm giving this 10+ yr post a bump as I have a similar question. I have a 1995 DRB Cobra, does anyone know of a hardtop for sale that would fit, or who is in the business of making them? It appears most of the businesses that did make them have closed and moved on ie Homebush Fibreglass...

Thanks

Get Gav to knock a few extras off his when he makes himself a new one. That'd fit would it Gav?

It would have to be trimmed to suit as the body profiles are quite different.
It will be a while before I do anything with mine but if I do one I could make several.
On a high note, I managed to fire up the beast yesterday!
The engine at least is ok
guye, boxhead, Tenrocca and 3 others like this.

Ill be fitting mine this winter. It is the same as Gavs although I did extend the rear a bit for a more gradual taper. The hatch part is a little longer as well to accomodate this.

It will be customised cut to the CR shape and my windscreen angle - I really dont think there is any such thing as a bolt on universal hardtop unless its a factory car. Ill also need to build a second roll bar as mine is too high for the top and a roll bar bubble would need to be placed right where the hatch meets the top so a no go there.
