Default Paint samples

Hi Guys,

The painter sprayed up a couple of sample panels for me to get an idea what the colours would look like together.

The body colour is Lamborghini Titanium and the stripes will be candy apple red sprayed over the titanium base,

Here's a pic: Paint samples

The picture was taken under fluro lights and doesn't do it justice. In the sun depending on the angle the stripes change from bright red to almost black.

I'm pretty confident now that this is the scheme I'll be settling on.

Cheers

Mike, colour combo looks pretty good! What interior colour are you going with? Are you going to have any red on any other part of the car to offset?

Red leather interior and red carpets too. If you're gona do it you may as well go all the way.

There are a few red highlights on the running gear ie springs, brake callipers sway bars. There will also be red engine covers to hide the ignition coils on the rocker covers.

I'll try to take some pics in the sun on the week end (if we ever get any).

Cheers

I've seen Steves care a few times in the flesh. It's a good looking combination with the orange stripes over silver paint.

I saw a similar car in the US when I was there and was tempted to go that way. I saw the Shelby Series 1 when I was there and it was silver with lazer red stripes and it looked pretty good. I haven't seen any cobras in this combination so I thought I'd try it to be a bit different.

Cheers

Talking New Info

Thought i'd tell you all the truth about Mikes colour combination, in the early days when Mike was just a lad and the Cobra frame turned up, he had this loud race suit ( Red ) and starded making Broom Broom noises, and spitting over his legs ( no body on the cobra yet ).
So his family would recognise when he was in insane Cobra building mode or Family father Mode he used to change his appearance compleate with helmet, helmet cover ( think this item was left over from his bucks night ) and spec's.
Well this dream of the Red seems to have stuck and we can now all see where this colour arrived from.

Well his dream is just about here. But really mike red leather interior, or was there other leather items left over from the bucks night that helped with this choice too...

There's nearly enough leather in those bright red riding chaps to cover one seat. Not sure what to so with the thigh high stilletto boots though.

(Signature fixed Jason. I'd hate to feel responsible for you going mad with an AK47 at the next Cobra club meeting))

Cheers

Mike

Jason is just having withdrawal symptoms. Yesterday the king rooster and today the feather duster.
