Good luck Cameron,

It must have been a toss up between Leyburn and teh Brisbane Convention Centre (where all the ricers display their modified imports)

You'll enjoy Leyburn (there last year).

Unfortunately my auto is getting dropped (hopefully) this weekend as the gears are playing up again

I'm told that I've cracked a drum, which messes up reverse / neutral.

Ah well, looking on the bright side it will be another problem fixed.

Good luck again.

Thumbs up A Great Weekend

Leyburn was a great weekend. Lot's of desirable machinery there.

I saw a few Cobra's, see pics. I also ran into Mr and Mrs Flatchat, Yve was putting in some quick runs.

Rob Sherrard was there with his Genunie GT40, RS200 and 911RSR... oh to be rolling in it. At least he had them all out on the track at full noise.. The sound coming out the back of the GT40 was magic

I had a few good runs, got down to the low 46's. Happy with that, no incidents and I got to drive home.

I'll be back next year..

I also have in car video of a lap, but don't know if I can post that. If you want one, PM me and I will email it (quicktime).

Thanks for "Posting" those photos. I really like the look of the two yellow 40's.

Cameron,

Car looks good - what class did you go in and where did you come?

What did ya reckon of Leyburn as a street circuit?

Get down to Tweed in September and I'll catch up with you.

Default I ran in Special Interest

I was in with the GT40 (Fastest Time of Day), the Rs200 (second fastest).... blah blah (any excuse !!)

Had fun though

I came 4th in class, 17th outright....

Leyburn was fun, could have had a few more curves and been about towice the length. I will go again next year.

Had a ball, will be at Speed on Tweed if I can.

Well done Cameron,

Have you seen Unique Car (Issue 238)?

It includes a write up on the NSX.

What a bloody expensive car when new ($159,000) and $210,000 for a targa top.

Hate to have to depreciate one of those at 20% a year!

Like the comment about the kid who thought it was a Ferrari until he saw the badge and walked away.

If he realised the price of them, I don't think he would have turned away so quickly.

Obviously Honda had a credibility problem in those days - Not now.

Yes I saw the write up. I have had two of them, one street car and one race car. Best car for the street I have ever owned (and I have owned a lot!), and am seriously considering buying another one.

Once driven off the showroom floor and they take the year one hit, they aren't too bad for value. I drove one for 175,000 k's and sold it for 18K less than I paid for it...

I think that the NSX will never be a player amongst the Ferrari & Porsche elite, which I am kind of glad about. Unless Honda move the factory to Europe and change the name.

I have driven both of the above quite a lot and don't understand the attraction as a driver, unless you get to the 360, or the GT3 Sport, then you have a real car... (oh and the Enzo... mmm)
