Lightbulb Cheaper parts supplier

Hi all

Spent some time with my son at the Melbourne Mini car show last weekend. He took his Cooper 'S' up there with the older mini's.

Whilst there, I took some time looking over all the British spare parts/accessories.

Met Anthony from the Classic and Vintage Bulb Co. who had a stand there.

I was surprised at some of his prices.

The aluminium Bullit mirrors priced at $75 are at least $30 cheaper than most suppliers I have seen. A few of the mirrors and accessories were nearly half the price of the bits I had brought elsewhere.

He had the red, amber taillights with the "E" stamp at only $69.

Headlight rims at $25

The full headlight bucket with adjusters etc. at $45

Number plate lights at $40 etc etc

Mesh headlight guards, dash/interior lights etc etc.

I looked over the variety of switches and bits he had and wished I had known about him earlier.

Maybe worth a call for some additional prices and to check what other stock he has. He told me he is the supplier of "all" of the people we usually buy from - so you can go straight to the supplier for your parts. Ring for a price list.

Good shopping.

I've been singing Anthonys praises for years now. I bought all of my lighting from him and saved a bundle. Good after sales service too.

Cheers

George

What is it about you and blow up pumpkins and drink cups

I'll have one cup filled with Georgia moonshine please

Take care. Hope you are keeping busy with plenty of machine and engine work.

Good to hear that you have purchased from Anthony and had good service etc. Anthony was extremely helpful in giving me some prices and was keen to talk direct with anyone who wanted any type of electrical parts or fittings. Seemed like a nice guy.

I feel his prices are in some cases 50% cheaper than prices I have seen quoted by other 'known' suppliers to Cobra enthusiasts.

Cheers

Bernie

Hi Bernie,
like Mike I bought all my lights from him also and he was a pleasure to deal with. Had 2 separate problems with lights and he replaced both without any questions and was prompt.

Hey Mike I noticed with the amber indicator globes I found to use for the L691 single filament lens that I had to modify the locating pins as with the amber type they are not at 180 degress to each other but at about 150 degrees?? have you got globes yet??

Just ordered some headlight mesh guards (7" dia) from Anthony.

Made in the UK and only $38 a pair - bargain

Thanks again Bernie.

Unfortunately he couldn't help me with the window mounted mirror (7" max width).

Hey Mike, just a thought.....

Could you knock me up a chrome one for a price????

Peter

Glad to hear you got the mesh covers. They were very cheap at that price. I have seen the same ones for over $100 a set.

You will see that they are very good quality also.

Cheers

Bernie
