Default Bonnet Rivets

Just hoping for some info on bonnet rivets

Usual size of rivets, spacing, back from edge, how far up bonnet, how many?

Any help and info would be appreciated

Cheers

Ask Evan, I'm sure he'll be able to supply the exact measurements.

For last Cobra we just got them from ERA manual available on the web. My brother tracked them down, just by searching on the net. They have exact measurements and layout etc. It is their interpretation of where they went, I would expect copied off an original car.

Look at this thread. This is the spacing I used. I do think it is very close if not dead-on to the original:

Thanx for the links
I got the info from the forum thread and also checked out ERA.
Totally different measurements though
Forum info suggested 1 & 3/4" apart up the sides ERA says 5"
Forum says 2" apart across front ERA says 3" with 4" gap at centre
Can anyone measure their bonnet for me??
The only consistant measurement is 2" in from the edge

Hmmmmmmm
Getting closer though.

Cheers

I have 10 rivits along the sides @ 2" apart and 10 rivits along the front @2.25 apart, size of the heads are .375 , these are slightly larger than what I usally see , but I believe are the correct size. I will try to post some pictures later, on aluminum cars the rivit goes into the frame tubing on the underside of the hood, on glass cars it's just for the look.
