Hi Guys ,Long Time no post.
David I think you hit the nail on the head with your description of the class,
Maybe it should be more aptly named Classic class or something similar.
and with that comes the contraversial part..

Classic Cobras have---

15 inch wheels
50-60 series tyres (street only)
ford engines (flame away!)
single carby
No aluminium heads
brakes that fit under 15in wheels

We all know that if you looked at all 80 or so cobras at any given nationals,you would not find one car that could be considered "stock"
The biggest limiting factor to any car on track will be the tyres grip,so what brakes anyones running is going to be limited by this fact.
Anyone can go down the road and buy better brake pads for whatever callipers their running,to deal with extra heat generated.

at the end of the day the nationals are supposed to be a fun event,anyone taking it seriously should run in the more competitive classes anyway,Maybe we could call it the FUN class.
