Default Rear tyres - abnormal wear rate

I've uploaded another video at

http://www.cobraclub.com/cobragaller...l_burnouts.MPG

Any ideas why my Yokohama A520 tyres aren't lasting as long as other people's? Thanks for any suggestions..... This cannot continue - I might just have to cancel the rego and park the car for a while

Adjust the angle of your throttle pedal. Many times it is temporarily adjusted too close to the back side of the footbox, and will cause a rapid loss of vulcanized rubber from rear tires. Extreme manifold preasure is a contributing factor. Side effects are an excessivly overactive fuel gauge. Often time noise and air pollution are also affected. If this continues, the local authorities are sometimes concerened and will volunteer their efforts. They also have other ways of adjusting the above, consult with them directly. Sometimes they can and are willing to "Meet you away from home" and do the adjustments "on site" often at the road side. Ironically they are able to carry out these adjustments only using pen and paper, no other tools. Amazing!

Rick

Guess you don't know how close you are to what is reality over here.

Will not get into Craigs' story. I'll let him tell it...

Craig

Is there an update? I see the title of the clip is 'last burnout'

Are you going to remove the engine and bonnet/hood - placing a different set up in.

Craig, Your a lunatic.

Man that cracked me up. Love the whir of the turbine...sounds like a bloody F18.

On a serious note....You do realise that particular style of driving may slightly contravene the Qld road rules.

Impressive as always...not sure if that's the same footage you showed me on the handi-cam or was that a different burn out.

Would love to have seen it in person...just amazing how effortless it all is when you have that much mumbo.

Opps my work server has blocked that site Craig. It's been deemed to be too inappropriate!

I'll have a go from home instead!

Firstly: I am surprised there is any air left in the atmosphere for us to breathe!

Secondly: I am surprised we haven't all died from tyre fumes.

Vicious circle

Great work Craig!, there should be more of this type of activity. As for the abnormal tyre wear... I just cant think why there not lasting... perhaps talk to Yokohama and see if others have similar problems??

Talking about bloddy time

Its about time you started driving it like it should be driven nowits about time you got a trailer and started racing it with the boys and entered a few dyno comps and see if you can break a dyno or 2.
Be positive you can go nuts now and realy have some fun you have shown me in the past what you can do . I have some new 28 x 10 x 15 drag slicks just itchen to be fried up and realy see what it will do over the Quarter. They are yours to use all i ask is to be there when you cut lose on them.
repeat after me I'm A VERY BAD BOY . I WANT TO BE BADER.

Oz.

Arrow

I think those tires are for left hand drive cars, that could be your problem. You might try swapping the left and right tires, I'm sure it will help,LOL.
