Talking Now the Fun Begins!!!

Hi all,
Just been advised that my CR body/chassis has been delivered to the couriers depot in Melbourne. All going well, I'll be able to pick it up on Friday.

Guess what I'll be doing this weekend.

Default Go and buy a bib !!

Luke,

One of the first things you will do is sit in the chassis and make broom broom noises. It is a whole heap of fun and make sure you take photo's.

Oh, and buy a bib to catch the dribble.

Welcome to the CR family. Our ranks are growing

Well done!! I cant believe how CR's are being sent south of the border. Im loving every minute of my build and havent lost enthusiasm one little bit (even when its gotten frustrating!!!). I think its called an obsession.

Cheers

Default one more sleep

Just picked up the trailer for the big day tomorrow. Last thing to do tonight is pack the 'magic' fridge ready for the homecoming ceremony

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.

Hi Luke,

What part of Melbourne are you in?

If you need any tips on putting your car together drop me a line. Your welcome to come down and get a few ideas too.

I fondly remember picking my kit up. Great fun.

Cheers

Talking

Hi Mike,

I actually live down in the Latrobe Valley (Traralgon). Thats about 1.5hrs drive East of Melbourne for those interstate. Our head office is right on Albert Park lake (Good vantage spot for F1 viewing!!) so I come up to Melbourne quite regularly as part of my work.

Thanks also for the offer. I might have to take you up on that some time. I was hoping to get to the last Vic meeting. Hopefully I'll make it to the next one so I can meet a few more Vic members.

Luke.....

Hi all,
Finally got my baby home this afternoon. Just managed to unload it into the garage, with about ten minutes to spare before the heavens opened up.

Will try and post some pics over the weekend.

Better go now and check its still ok.

Hey there Luke, stop cuddleing the bonnet
I agree with the earlier comments - a bib will come in handy.

Well done Luke.

Was your body the one I saw at CR getting the underbody sealer sprayed on a month or two ago? Ian said it was going to Melb.

I've stopped dribbling long enough to post a few pictures. This is the first time I've posted a picture so I hope it works.

Beejay, I guess it was the one you saw. Out of curiosity, how many of these wonderful machines does Ian make a year??

Do not quote me on it...

My understanding is that Ian makes about 12 per year, and he has been operating for over 18 years.

I have been advised that out of these 200 or so CR builds, over half are on the road.

If this is the case I do not know where they are, as I have been active in the NSW club and attended the last two nationals.

I only know of probably 10 CR builds......

Ben
