Yeah, good idea, stick with filters.

With filters there will be a performance hit and appearance wise filters really suck.

But I just couldn't run an engine long term without filters, it will be in for an early rebuild/freshen up if run without filters as many a past Cobra owner has discovered.

I run Unifilter branded filters on my vertical 8 stack. Funnily enough also on a 347. You can get the Unifilters unbranded, but they only come in red. I hope I've got that brand right.
