Upcoming Qld Events
Hi all...Yes I know I have been "off line" for a while but I have been head down bum up rebuilding PWR41. Haven't driven it since December. Paint is done, upholstery is done, only exhaust 8TB and computer to go. ETA 8 weeks! But it can be quicker if you want OZVENOM!!!
So the question?? Any QLD's planning on doing Speed on the Tweed, Leybourn Sprints or the Noosa Hill CLimb. I know we've got the usual SAS rounds at QR and stuff plus Nationals in woop woop but I was hoping to do the aforementioned and would love to have a few fellow Cobras along for the ride...
Any takers this early??

Spooky,
I did Leyburn in 04 and Pittsworth last year. I would love to do Speed, but getting an entry is tough in our cars.
As I am far too lazy to look them up, do you have the dates? If timing works I would be up for it.

Dates
OK People
Leybourne Sprints 19 - 20 August
Speed on the Tweed Late September (Date to be confirmed)
Noose Hill Climb 11 - 12 November
From what I can see so far from the respective web pages probably Speed on the Tweed will be difficult to enter as they only are taking 160 entries but that may change. The rest seems pretty good and it would be great to make a reasonable showing of competitive Cobras. (And then there will be me) Well Cobra competive yes.... but driver...well we'll see!!!!
I had some mates do Noosa last year and it was a little damp but there were some great cars to see....
Anyway, the dates are there for you all to get excited about!

So Cameron, off to China. Heard this was in the pipeline!
What's to become of SPF03? Perhaps you could leave it with Spooky or otherwise I'll look after it. Promise I won't nick any of the really good stuff!!
Good luck.

I'll probably be back up to Beijing before long. I'll have to look you up when I'm there.
I'm off to Hong Kong next weekend and then stopping in at KL on the way back.
Cheers

Richard,
AUS03 is up for sale at a premium. If it sells I will replace it when I get back. If not, it will go into mothballs in an undisclosed location until 2009.
Maybe it will become one of those 'Cobra in a Shed" stories
Mike, and all Aussie CC members. I will be in Bejing from late July, until about 6 months after the Olympics. Let me know if you are coming north.
Now where did I put those chopsticks..

Good luck Cameron - not building stadiums by any chance???
Hope you make a note of where the SPF is to be stored. I'd hate to find an article in the local rag in 20 years time of a long lost Cobra found in the Gold Coast Hinterland

Mothballs, if I were you, Cameron.
2 reasons: something to look forward to when you're into the middle of your 3rd Chinese winter (or even the first).
Second, do you really want to start over again?
See you at the Nationals, comrade.
Richard.
You're not heading over as the SPF front man in China, are you?

Richard,
possibly too late, I had a verbal offer today that I have accepted. If the buyer comes up with the funds, she is sold. But until then
I would be in China when the Nationals are on, so would only be there if I could arrange a suitable business reason... But I'm very creative
Not heading as an SPF man, couldn't even take mine with me, and I tried very hard....
Hope to catch up before we push off.
