Paul
Sorry but very slack on us CR owner/builders not to have replied yet.

Mines a '91 Suzuki Swift which for me worked out just fine. Hardest part is finding a nice cover & stalks which are not too faded or damaged.

I also have the wiring/colour pinouts if you need them as they are the same as the Holden Barina which is also recommended.

I found a good Suzuki wreckers in Braeside VIC that had plenty of Swifts to choose from which made it easier.

Steering F%^&* column, I can tell you which one NOT to buy

You need to get the one with the 95 mm front mount centres. NOT the one with the 130 mm front mount centres.

All the dimensional information proudly sponsored and brought to you by Aussie Mikes remedial school for setting dummies (like me) on the right track..

I've got the wrong version column sitting on a shelf in the back of my shed (Going Cheap). You (like me) obviously didn't read the section in the manual specifying which version of Suzuki Swift / Holden Barina column to buy.

Churchy is right, look for the version with the narrower spaced mounting holes behind the cowl. They also have rubber boots on the stalks which are hard to find in good condition. I brought mine back to life a bit by soaking them in silicone lube spray.

A coat of wrinkle finish paint on the shroud brings them up a treat. A lot of us have painted them this way with good results.

You can sort of see the switch gear and shroud in this pic to get an idea of what to look for.

Cheers

I will even be able to show you the Steering wheel boss you will need if you are using a Sparco leather wheel...

Let's hope that is the right one

Ptrefry,
I sprayed my shroud with wrinkle paint same as Mike only in black. It gives it that 60s look if thats what your after.

I didnt think there was anything wrong with Ians parts list incorporated into his comprehensive build manual! Yeah Right.

Regards Mando.
