Default New XR8 utility

Hi all,

Just purchased a new XR8 Magnet Ford utility and will 'post' some photos shortly.

Just find the covenience of having the utility as a tow vehicle a real bonus. It is so handy to throw wheels, fuel and jacks in.

Well my old ute is for sale and I will advertise it on one of the car sales sites. It was not worth the hassle of trading.

I'm sorry to see the old V8 ute go but the Lease is up..

This is the old V8 utility that I will sell privately..

If you know anyone that wants a good ute PM me. I'll give you details

Congrats Bernie, Barry mentioned your new Ute at the Club meeting last night.

The lease is up on my Ute too. I bought a VW Jetta Turbo Diesel to replace it.

So the Pursuit 250 is up for sale. I'll sell it and Lily's Jaguar and I'm planing to buy an 2003 series 2 Landrover Discovery as a tow car - 2nd family car. They've come down in price quite a bit since the Dicovery 3 came out.

Any one who's interested in my Ute can check it out on Carsales.com

Pursuit 250

Cheers

Considering the "failure to proceed " episodes of late, the tow option sounds mighty sensible
A new ute and trailer might be the solution. Anyone have winches on their trailers?
Bernie, does the Magnet have a hard cover?

Hi Richard

Yes I went for the fully optioned up ute with the hard cover that has the raised front section. !8" wheels, leather and 'Momo' steering wheel..

Two practical cars now with Annes.... guess we don't take to many passengers...

Guess I'll sell the other ute for around $14k. It;s done 138.000k's with full service history. Auto etc. etc.

Bernie

Barry,

I was to pick the ute up later this week, but I'll be in Vietnam this week and next. Then the boss gave instructions to met her in Bangkok for a few days of R + R.

So will be a week or so before I have a photo.

So what colour Bernie? Have to say I think the green ones look pretty neat, or fully sick, depending on your age! Or maybe one the same colour as the Cobra. Nahh.
Did you go the heavy duty tow pack and auto trans? I took a Territory (officially off the "list": tooooo big) for a spin which had the 6-speed auto and it was surprisingly good.
Richard
PS I'm 44. Fully sick is 2 bottles of red and a few beers.

We seem to have Commodore SS utes up here. Expect to see a couple of SS utes coming down with QLD guys for Nationals.

Ashley actually raced his SS ute at the Nationals last year. He will be bringing the Cobra down this year now it's finished.

It's the red with the Magnet upgrade that includes 18"s, leather and a Momo wheel etc.

Looking forward to geting back home to have a play. It's the 6 speed auto.

Craig,

My business is next door to the Holden dealer so I'll need to kep the ute hidden..
