Question Re: Info on Cobra

My mate gravelrash has beat me to the punch about info on my new cobra but if anyone can help it would be appreciated.All i know about the history of the car is the builder of the car has past away the subsequent owners had it in a shed for about 5 years.Presently we have the motor and g/box out replacing seals and gaskets that have gone hard.Find attached some photo's that may trigger someones memory.

Welcome to the Club

It's got more curve across the top thean a DRB. The DRB is relatively flat. The front flares are quite big too. Hood scoop looks like an RMC

Got any side on pictures of it?

Nice looking paint scheme too

Bonnett is certainly an RMC...the body is not.

Back of it is bit of a mystery. Second series BRB maybe.

Going out on a limb here... The front guards and the smaller scoop profile reminds me of a DAX. If it is, it will have a DAX serial number stamped into the top of the cross member just behind the radiator. Should be right in the middle and easy to see with the bonnet up.

I had one a few (too many) years ago, and although I modified the bonnet to fit a blower, the front guards look the same.

Thanks fella's, Cameron was right I found the dax serial number under some wiring on the cross member.Is anyone going to the Leyburn sprints on the weekend? I hope to have it back together by then and go out for a run.Even if the car is not running I will be their as work is one of the sponsers.

yrhoo... I will be at leyburn. Saturday only and not in my car... But let me knwo if your going and I'll make sure I introduce myself. I've been at teh Mt Cotton Hill Climb today. had a blast.
