Default This was new to me, but then.....

Yokohama Avid S/Ts seem to be a pretty well rated 15" tyre. Not surprisingly, they are not stocked in Australia. I decided to ask Yokohama why. Here is the correspondence, albeit back-to-front (Start at the bottom!

Hi Richard,
The belts are laid in a particular way to counter the road camber that allows rainwater to drain to drain off to the sides rather than to the centre of the road. That way when you let go of the wheel the car doesn’t wander off the road. Sorry I can’t get more technical than that. It does my head in, especially when it comes to the orientation of asymmetrical and directional tyres.

"Different for the side of the road we drive on"

Please explain.

Regards
Richard Ferguson.

Hi Richard,
Yokohama Tyre Australia has a different range to the USA. The tyres are different for the side of the road we drive on.
I suggest you look at the Y352.
There is a sizing chart there too.

Comments: Yokohama Avid S/T are available in the USA in a range of 15" tyres. Can these tyres be obtained here? If not, what tyres do you have available in 275/60/15 and 255/60/15?
Regards,
Richard Ferguson.
