Default Why I ask?....

I'm picking up my new kit this weekend
It has been set up for a 90Litre LPG tank, for dedicated LPG system, and when I saw the body last week I saw how much room I had left in the boot...room??what room??
So when my misses wants to go away for a dirty weekend in the Cobra with me , I will need to take some change of clothes and other stuff for both of us.

Preferably if I can get a nice rack (not for the wife) that is removeable I can then, only when required, add the rack and lug around a case.

Can you get one that wouldn't require any holes being drilled into the body?

Just wanted to see what they loooked like on the cobra before I considered it further. Doesn't look too bad actually.

Gee, I have seen Shelby American photos showing the luggage rack as an available option. Why would folks poo-poo that idea? I like it!

Well, shot down in flames - each to their own!

One problem you will have with a rack is that it will obstruct the high vis brake light especially when loaded.

The biggest problem with exposed luggage is that you want to protect it from rain, dust, dirt, insects etc. So would need to be enclosed in plastic(garbage bags etc) or use one of those plastic pod things or make similiar.

If it does block the high-level brake light, you could wire in a socket at the back of the cockpit, even on a lead under the seat and plug in another high-level brake light that attaches to luggage rack.

Don't know what you guys are complaining about with luggage space, with GT40 you need to bring friends with plenty of boot space.

Craig,

I remember seeing Paul G's luggage space at the last x-mas do and you are right.

A make up and toiletry bag and that was it

Even then Paul had to dismantle the front bonnet to get the luggage out.

Cobra's are pretty spacious when comparing with a GT40

Yeah, it's all relative. I don't have the luxury of space under the hood. Just got inside the doors and footwells.

Really interested if anyone else in Aus has done a luggage rack. I can't remember seeing one.

Stuff the undies in the side pockets and the shirt and pants behind the seat.
That'll leave all the tiny boot space for the lady's dress and shoes.
