Default Sanctuary Cove bursting at the seams.

Sorry Mr. Moderator but I'm Craig's dad. I really wanted to comment on this amazing gathering.
At the first Qld club breakfast for the year at Sanctuary Cove yesterday, with some of our regulars still away on holidays, we had a roll up of seven, that's right, seven GT 40s, Drew turned up in his brand new Harrison Daytona Coupe, oh and there were twenty-seven Cobras!
Not to skite but what a sight.
Most then headed up to the mountains through Canungra and on to the Mudgeeraba pub for lunch. Craig and I had to go look at some Ducatis.
This Qld club just goes from strength to strength.

Don,

A testamant to the QLD Club - What a turn out!!

They must be getting to the point where St Tropez can't cope with the orders!

I presume Drew has the Daytona registered now??? or was it brought by a towie?

And to the interesting point do you now have a Ducati visiting you on a weekend?

Hi Mr. Craig's Dad,: I was going to post a similar comment earlier but this puter was being all female on me.

I haven't been down for quite a few months owing to shaggers back probs ( I wish) and was very impressed with the roll up. Whilst chewing on my scrambled eggs I got to reflecting on some comments made on this site regarding the Victorian Club.

I must agree the Queensland Club is growing ever so quickly but more importantly, has got to be one of the most friendly and best run cobra clubs in Oz. It sure is a sight seeing the avenue overflowing with cobras etc.

Was great catching up with you and Craig again although if Craig keeps riding those two wheel things then our next meeting may be at a quiet little BBQ at some crematorium. ( God forbid)

Pete, the daytona was wearing trade plates.

Pete - there's a blonde lady that seems to be running St Tropez now. She has this crazed, manic style about her. I reckon if they could harvest the nervous energy that she expends, there would never be an energy crisis...

Drew made it down there under his own steam.

Ducatis. Hmmmm..... Dad's cousin came down last weekend. He has more than 15 old champions in his shed. I must admit that I have my eye one a couple. A 750GT and 900SS would fit in my garage just nicely. Decisions, decisions...

Les - good to see you last weekend. Glad to see that you're still exactly the same after all this time away from the club. To say that you're an institution, or should be institutionalised might be like saying a plumber needs to fix his leaky tap. No idea if anyone will know what the hell I'm talking about. Might have to call this place CrypticCobra instead. Just got back from my birthday dinner, so the red wine might be clouding my descriptive abilities !
Sorry to say that the bike bug has really bitten. My next car would have to be something pretty interesting to give me the same buzz as a ride through some nice twisty backroads.

Here are a couple of shots from the weekend

What do you think Pete? This one's had all the unnecessary parts removed to lighten the bike, and it's the same colour as the KTM that I had in your driveway! I love this bike...

Very nice Craig!!

Is that a 750GT??

Looks like something I used to watch at the Isle of Man TT in the 70's.

Similar to the Cobra (A Classic!!)

Oh are not those GT40's getting simply too common

Even Warren's Cobra is parked in the side street - obviously late up that morning

Looks like lots of fun. I love bevel drive Ducatis. They sound magnificent with a set of Conti pipes on them. Vee Two in WA have done some world leading development on these motors.

Vee Two

Cheers

Shuddup Pete,

Cakeshop?....my cakes get mixed by Boral now.

You think you have troubles...just think of me. I've gotta contact the fire brigade to send out a standby unit when I light mine.

Last birthday half of south east queensland bushland caught fire just from the heat.
